“Million Dollar Password” Burns Off Remaining Episode Starting May 24
Fans of Million Dollar Password: here’s what will most likely be your last chance to see the show. The Regis Philbin hosted revival of Password will begin airing its final episodes of the season (and probably series) starting Sunday, May 24th, at 8:00PM ET.

It got over 10 million viewers and CBS still plans on canceling it?
Wasn’t this the same network that, a decade ago, was associated with elderly viewers? I know that they’re trying to reel in younger viewers, but come on, CBS- don’t let a good show go to waste in a dead zone time slot (much like they did with Winning Lines back in 2000).
insaneben, Sunday at 8 PM Eastern is not a dead zone time slot.
CBS decided to remove the two remaining episodes of the 2nd season and a repeat of a 1st season episode, replacing them with episodes of 60 Minutes, The Mentalist and Cold Case; they were all programming shuffles created as a result of the AFC playoffs taking place at that time.
If that was the case, CBS should have waited until May 24th to start airing the second season.
There are only two unaired episodes of Million Dollar Password, so, unless this is a very brief return, I imagine CBS will air reruns of older episodes for several weeks after the new episodes have aired.
This is great news, though. At least CBS is letting the show air its final episodes. It was a fantastic show and I thoroughly enjoyed its run. Seeing Regis back in primetime was great, and I’m really looking forward to the return of “Millionaire.”
Well, it’s about time they decided to air the episodes. I wonder what in the world caused them to wait this long, though.
To Sam: Because of The Amazing Race. They wanted to wait until that ended to air MDP. But my prediction is this, if Million Dollar Password does come back, Regis won’t.
Yeah, I agree that if the ratings are solid enough for CBS to consider producing more episodes, Regis won’t return because he’s doing Millionaire again for ABC in August and likely wasn’t happy about how CBS treated the show by pulling it like they did. Too bad as he’s the best game show host there is right now, by far.
