Variety today announced that Beauty and the Geek host and former Price is Right potential host Mike Richards is the long running game show’s new co executive producer. Richards has some previous experience. He was a producer on Weakest Link which was a very good show, among others, so it’s not like there’s an unknown there.

This is relationship to Mike and who ever decided to replace Rich Fields on the Price is Right. BIG MISTAKE!! Even Drew Carey doesn’t seem the same. I know he lost a lot of weight and looks great but he just seems not to enjoy his job as much this season. And as for the new announcer his voice is annoying. After watching for most of my life I have decided to turn the channel. Thank goodness for Dish TV. Why do some people have to mess with things that do not need to be fixed? When you have a good thing ( and Drew coming to the show was a very good thing) leave it be. And in case you want to know I have been around for more than 60 yrs.
I happened on this article here while reading about Rich Fields termination. Let me state here too, that Mike RIchards is a total idiot to have fired Rich Fields from the annoucner positon. He was part of the team that was “TPIR”. They will NOT replace the chemistry that Rich and Drew made together. It was TPIR magic. I’m not sure what was a bigger mistake here… Rich being fired… or Mike Richards EVER being hired by Fremantle . I hope CBS and Fremantle are listening. Fix this. Bring back Rich, and fire Richards instead.
