Michael McKean Wins “Jeopardy!” Million Dollar Celebrity Invitational Tournament
Today was the final day of Jeopardy!‘s special Million Dollar Celebrity Invitational tournament. The championship games, played over Thursday and Friday, were between three comedy actors: Cheech Marin, Jane Curtin, and Michael McKean. Incidentally they crushed all the CNN anchors. But I digress.
The rules for the tournament finals are that there are two championship games; on Thursday and Friday. The scores for both days will be combined, and the person who has the most money from the two games will win the $1,000,000 for the charity of their choice. After Thursday’s game, Michael McKean was leading with $31,600; Jane Curtin was in second with $29,000; and Cheech Marin was in last place with $6,600.
Today’s final game came down to the wire. Both Michael McKean and Jane Curtin had a chance to win the game. Jane bet nearly everything on Final Jeopardy and missed, leaving her with $1. Her two day total was $29,001. This wrapped the game up for Michael McKean, with a two day total of $35,700 and making him the winner of Jeopardy!‘s first Million Dollar Celebrity Invitational Tournament. He takes home $1,000,000 for his charity.
Congratulations to all parties, especially Michael. I didn’t get to see the tournament really, but I heard material for today’s championship game was exceptionally hard for an edition of Celebrity Jeopardy!. What did you all think?

I didn't get to see it except for the last 2 minutes. Stupid tornado warnings around caused all the news stations to do weather coverage all evening.
For a celebrity tournament, the questions were tougher this year, but that was because they invited only "good" contestants to play. The material was still relatively easier than that for civilian contestants. The final jeopardy clues this week would have been of round one $800 difficulty, except for Friday's, which was the only one which I didn't get right all week.

A Nash Bridges Reunion done very well____Cheech and Michael McKean's Wife Annette O'Toole worked on the show for 2 seasons on the show. However, I really liked this $1MIL Invitational since it really looked very great!
Too bad Jane Curtain didn't wager smart–just like most contestants. She could've won.
