The Who Wants to be a Millionaire? executive producer and head of Embassy Row is developing an interactive quiz show called The Empire which will allow players to be “projected” into the studio by an internet profile or a live video. “I’ve been waiting for someone to crack the multiplatform game show for a decade, and this is far beyond what I could have imagined,” Davies said. “It is young, visual, dynamic and frankly, revolutionary.” Davies is looking to pitch this to networks in December. I have more faith in him than anyone else to make an interactive game show. While fun, shows like Playmania are always just lacking a certain style and sophistication to make it a respectable game show.
