Well, this is probably 2 pronged here. One, this is being done (at least a little) to capitalize on the new found popularity of American Gladiators. Two, (far more likely) a show like Gladiators 2000 would be eligible for an e/i rating, meaning that it can be used to make up part of the mandatory 3 hours per week of educational/information programming that over the air stations have to show.

What I was saying is that on Go For It! TV they had two pop music acts in each show, from such "artists" as 3rd Faze and Dream Street, and I'm pretty sure that those performances were lip-synched. I don't know what they had to do with the gameplay or educational content.

Oh sorry Alex :)

Then again, remember the last gasping air for Nick GAS was "Double Dare 2000", I remember it was deemed "The mess for the new millennium". I don't who who would buy this, but seeing Kids WB is no longer around in September, that might be a good idea for the CW. Unless NBC was to put it on its Qubo block.

Well I guess its ok to see gladiators 2000 again. I remember seeing a few episodes when I was younger. I hope thought, that if the ratings are decent they could actually revive the show.

At least on Gladiators 2000 the "lessons" were incorporated into the gameplay. That's more than can be said for Go For It! TV...seriously what was the point of those pop performances? Sadly, it was pretty much one of the few kids' game shows of the time.

I'm kind of worried that Hellga might have to change her name.

You do realize it's just the old show right, Jordan? Just a repackaging of the old show.

It's weird enough seeing Gladiators 2000 was one of the shows Ryan Seacrest got his start (besides Click). And I figure I won't see 12 year olds swimming under fire in this version. But I imagine all the cheesy PSAs will still be in there

WOLF: WOOOOOOOOOO!!! Hey kids, I'm wolf, sure I love to eat human flesh, but even I like vegetables. Just five fruits or vegetables a day, keeps me motivated to tear limbs off teachers and bullies.

hey, this could be a blessing in disguise... events like Slingshot, etc were "edu-tainment-ly" repackaged in "Gladiators 2000" (like calling the yellow balls fat molecules, blue balls amino acids, and the red ones are proteins....

BUT the events may spike ppl to want to have em in the NBC season 2 and beyond.
