Local News Anchors Play “Millionaire” for “Play It Forward” Charity Week
All this week you may be lucky enough to see some very familiar faces play Who Wants to be a Millionaire for charity. Local news anchors from across the country are teaming up and trying to win $1,000,000 for charity during “Play It Forward” Week. Yesterday Lionel Bienvenu and Lisa Hidalgo from Denver’s 7News won $26,550 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, so congratulations to them. Tune in today to see Greg Warmoth and Vanessa Echols, anchors of WFTV’s Channel 9 Eyewitness News Daybreak in Orlando, play. Each team is guaranteed $5,000 to donate. I’m personally excited because my home town local anchors, Peggy Finnegan and David Johnson of WPXI are playing this week and given the trailer it looks like they win very big. Check out all this week.

Nitpicky, I know, but just saying the call letters and city might be enough for the readers.
Too bad I missed out on the KMGH team’s performance… my aunt and uncle (who live in Colorado) would be rooting for them. :-)
I wish that they would release that Millionaire game that’s for the X-Box 360 for the Wii. I would love to play it but I don’t want to have to get a X-Box 360 to play it.
Well David, you probably wouldn’t. The Xbox360 game is not very good at all.
It is based more off the Facebook game than the actual show. Only 2 jumps in round 1, no $15,000 or $25,000 questions, and you only get the “Ask the Audience” lifeline in round 2.
Also, the graphical presentation of Millionaire is quite bad. For a powerful system like the Xbox360, it’s pretty disappointing.
Miami won’t be seeing their anchors anytime soon. That show is on WSVN, and they’re known for constantly interrupting regularly scheduled programs.
Shoutout to St. Louis KPLR 11 for going on “Millionaire”
