Larry Miller Hosts GSN’s Late Night Puppet Game Show
Larry Miller has been named the host of GSN’s new puppet-based panel show from The Jim Henson Company. The information was first listed on LAOffice.com, which promotional marketers with clients directly online. The link to it is here, and in case it gets taken down suddenly an archived picture of the posting can be found by clicking here. Larry Miller is a famous comedian and actor, known for his roles in the Christopher Guest mockumentary movies. The title of the show, according to the page, is up in the air. It’s listed as Never Trust A Puppet, but the name of the opportunity is also listed under Late Night Liars.
LAOffice.com describes the format has having a human contestant face off against five “celebrity” puppets who lie straight to their face. Criagslist casting notices mention the top prize will be $15,000. No exact debut date has been set, but it’s expected to bow this summer. All puppets on the show are created by The Jim Henson Company, but the actual Muppets will not be featured as of now. It’s been described as being one of the most expensive half hour programs in GSN’s history.

I remember seeing Larry Miller in 1990 on HBO. Very talented comedian, and I always thought he would become a household name rather quickly. Then again, I thought the same of Rondell Sheridan, who has drawn a decent TV paycheck, but has had to perform such hackneyed material that it obscures his talent. Perhaps Larry Miller has been shrewd with his choices.
