Kelly Packard Leaves GSN Live
Sad news for GSN Live fans like myself. The co-host of the 3:00PM ET to 6:00PM ET block, Kelly Packard, left the show. She was gone as of today. Fred Roggin, the other host, is there with other hosts filling in. Here’s the official statement from the network.
As of today, Kelly Packard will no longer be a host on GSN LIVE as she has decided to pursue other opportunities. Everyone at GSN enjoys her energy and charming personality, and wishes her the very best in her future endeavors. While GSN has plans to find a new member to join the GSN LIVE family, there will be several guest hosts in the interim including the show’s own Heidi Bohay and Alfonso Ribeiro who will, from time-to-time, join Fred Roggin.
So there you have it. I thought Kelly was a good edition, but I still think Fred and 12:00PM ET to 3:00PM ET host Heidi Bohay worked much better together. But who knows what’s going on with the later block. Can’t wait to find out who the new co-host is going to be.
A got damn shame! I hope we still get to see her on the upcoming Money List on GSN.
Also, why hasn’t Buzzerblog talked about the new Sci-Fi net game shows Estate of Panic (Finders Keepers meets Fear Factor) and Cha$e (The Running Man in real life?)
I haven’t had a chance to see it yet; only Chase. We have a review of Chase coming soon. It’s just, you know, I’ve been kinda busy with stuff.
This all really seems weird. If she was leaving on her own, why didn’t she say anything on Friday? Either she was pondering about it or GSN was the reason she left. They of course have used the “To Pursue Other Interests” excuse for other people who left the network even though they were fired.
She will be missed. To bad it wasn’t Alfonso, though.
That’s really lame to wish someone would lose their job, especially in this marketplace.
Sucks Kelly left, but I’m sure she’ll find other avenues.

It’s sad to see her go. But we all know when any company uses the phrase “(s)he’s leaving to pursue other interests/opportunities”, that usually means they’ve fired them. This could mean that either someone else will leave and GSN will either be trimmed back to 2 hours or 2 (or maybe all 3) will host GSN Live for all 4 hours.
To captparis1: Cha$e (which is like a real life video game) is a great show considering the fact that it’s on the Sci-Fi Channel. However, I’ve never seen Estate of Panic, but I’ve heard good things about it.
Hopefully Shandi Finnessey will find her way back to GSN. She would be a perfect co-host with Fred Roggin.
Why would Shandi come back they canned Playmania Quiznation, so they probably don’t want her.
They should have let go Fred Rogan instead; he was great when he had his own show Rogan’s Heroes, but he just doesn’t have the patience with the contestants during the call in questions for prizes.
Please bring Kelly Packard back, she deserves a second chance.

I wonder if her leaving or asked to leave had anything to do with her actions on DANCING WITH THE STARS? I was very disappointed in her whistling and acting what I thought to believe was inappropriate for someone who was a host on a show. Oh well just my opinion.
Kelly did not leave the show on her own. The geniuses at GSN decided she was too “goofy” for them. In other words, I’m thinking she was too pretty and had too much personality for an audience that the GSN Execs have absolutely no respect for. As for her “actions” on “Dancing with the Stars”…she was cheering-on her good friend, Brooke Burke.
“Leaving to persue other interests”? Bull–unless you want to believe that half the staff at GSN Live has done that too in the past few months.
