“Jeopardy!” Goes to Washington, D.C., in May for “Power Players Week”
The syndicated quiz show Jeopardy! is traveling back to Washington, D.C., to, yet again, put some of the nation’s most influential people under the intellectual ringer. Jeopardy! will be holding another “Power Players Week” in May, with the taping happening at the end of April. For the third time in the show’s 28 year history, major figures in the Washington scene will compete for a guaranteed $50,000 for charity. Past players include Al Franken, Ari Fleischer and Bob Woodward. Who will pop up this year?
Taping will start on April 21st at DAR Constitution Hall in front of thousands. The shows will air nightly starting May 14th. Application for free tickets will begin February 24th…tomorrow. We’ll post specific information on Facebook. In addition to this special week Jeopardy! will hold its annual Teen Tournament at this setting. The winner of the Teen Tournament walks away with a guaranteed $75,000.
“I can’t think of a more exciting time to be in the nation’s capital than during a presidential election year,” said Executive Producer Harry Friedman. “Washington, D.C., is home to so many dedicated fans and top leaders. It is the perfect location and backdrop for the competition.”
“I’m thrilled about going to Washington, D.C. and hosting the show in front of such a large audience,” said “Jeopardy!” Host Alex Trebek. “The Power Players shows will not only be incredibly entertaining to watch, but also enlightening.”

Well, it’s about time Jeopardy! did another Power Players Week.
I think that’s when Alex starts standing up again to read clues and standing in front o the board for Final Jeopardy!
He’s been standing up for months now.
We have tickets for the April 20 taping. Does anybody know how long that will take? What time can we expect to leave?
