Jane Lynch from Glee Asks Question on “Millionaire” January 29th

Edit: Made a small mistake.  Jane wasn’t on the set of Glee.  She was in the ABC building doing it.  She even came down to the Millionaire set for a photo op with host Meredith Vieira.  Check it out.

All you fans of Glee on Fox are definitely going to want to check out Who Wants to be a Millionaire this Friday, January 29th.  Jane Lynch will be reading a $10,000 question to the contestant as part of the show’s new Celebrity Question gimmick.  Jane will ask a question to the contestant Clyde Wheeler, and tell him if he’s right or wrong.  In addition to Glee, Jane also starred the great movies Best In Show and For Your Consideration (two of my favorites) as well as many others.  Disney/ABC provided us with a clip to give you a glimpse as to what you can see tomorrow on the show.  Take a look.

It's only simple if you know the answer, palmercomm.

  • @palmercomm says:

This guy, IMO, is an idiot! He wasted a lifeline on a simple question.

  • BobHagh says:

You shouldn't call someone an idiot on this show because they had to use a lifeline. What's easy for one person is not necessarily easy for another.

I suppose you're right, but still. It was so obvious.

I even knew that answer. Journey.

Cool, I'm on TV! Straight from the idiot's mouth. Did anyone happen to notice the race of the guy in the hotseat? Power ballads are not really my strong suit but I did have an inkling and I rather use a lifeline to confirm that than go home with 3 of them in my pocket.

You mean you were the idiot? I'm glad you got it right, though. I'm guessing you didn't win the million. I'm not going to ask how much you won because you probably have some kind of contract with Disney-ABC.

Yep, I still am the idiot, lol. It's easy to be critical from home. I'm guilty of it myself. But a lot of millionaire has to do with having a good amount of trivia knowledge and being lucky enough to have questions come up that you figure out. I can tell you how I did after Friday!

Hey Clyde, love the fact you are hiding your sneeze!!! And @Palmercomm-have you been a contestant on the show? Have you sat there in the hotseat before? Just curious, because if you haven't, you shouldn't judge. Easy to sit at home and guess while lounging on your sofa, without the pressure, and as Clyde mentions we are all guilty of it.

No, I have not been a contestant. I don't think I could be a contestant on this show. Good job, Clyde.

It's probably a good idea for you to just bow out of this conversation. Your foot is shoved way too far in your mouth.

Clyde, sorry about that. Good luck from the past, and can't wait to see how you did.

Thanks @palmercomm. I have played the armchair version of the game for ten years before I got a chance to be on the show and I know I've been critical of people who have gotten things wrong that I thought they should've known. Since I have been on the other side of the camera now, I will try to be a little more tolerant :P.
I would just be a little more conscious of the name calling (i.e. idiot) in the future, you may never know who is reading. I am a bit of a jokester and try not to let things bother me but there are people who lost a lot of money or never got the chance to get very far who will take criticism pretty hard.
Just as a test, here's a question that many will find very easy and some may have no idea.

    Who sang Rapper's Delight?
    a. Kurtis Blow
    b. Doug E. Fresh and the Get Fresh Crew
    c. Mellie Mel and the Treacherous Three
    d. Sugarhill Gang

Everyone's sphere of knowledge is different.

I figured Phil Ivey would have known that one.

  • Clyde Wheeler says:

Thanks, Alex. It was a lot of fun. I'll be doing a trip report at wwtbambored.com after the show airs.

  • @palmercomm says:

Me too. I'll just have to get into the hot seat sometime. I'm done.

BTW, the answer is D. Final.

And I would have figured Phil Hellmuth would have spelled his name correctly. But nobody's perfect.
