“I’ve Got A Secret” Cancelled

I just got done talking to a panel member on the show “I’ve Got A Secret”, currently on at 9;30PM ET on GSN, and she stated that in October, GSN decided not to make any more episodes, so unless some freakish reversal order comes in it’s officially cancelled. It’s a true shame in my eyes, as I thought it was incredibly funny and entertaining. It also scored very nice ratings (at GSN standards) at the 11:30PM ET time slot, seeing ratings in the .3-.4.

Edit: I completely forgot that “Anything to Win” had scores in that area, with the Tanya Harding episode earning a .7.

A female panel member from I’ve Got A Secret? Hmmm, I wonder who that could be…

  • JohnGoodman says:

^ I bet it was the gay one.

    What a shame…

Good lord, probably the most critically acclaimed original on GSN got the boot after one season, while that WTF Chain Rxn is getting a 2nd? What genius thought of that master plan? >:(

  • Marc Power says:

and with the show giving away at most $3,000 an ep. (like Chain lol) they could easily afford to keep it going.

  • Scott says:

A tasteless remake of a true original, so good riddance. Mark Goodson can now stop rolling in his grave (and Steve Allen, and Garry Moore, for that matter). What a waste of Bil Dwyer’s talent this was, but a show needs more than a good host…

  • Mike says:

I don’t know how GSN’s remake of Secret could be considered tasteless. I’ve seen at least 8 episodes and none came across as tasteless or insulting to my intelligence.

I loved it, and will miss it.

  • Lucy says:

This sucks! I absolutely love this show…all of the panelist are hilarious especially one Miss Suzanne Westenhoefer! Let’s boycott Chain Reaction, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and The Weakest Link. Chain sucks, and I’m completely sick of the other two. Bring back the secrets!!!!

  • Bob says:

Whoever was responsible for the show was only interested with “in your face” gay pride. People saw right through it and decided that it wasn’t as good as the Steve Allen/Garry Moore masterpieces.

Remove the “gay” aspect and people would have loved it!

  • Kitty Katz says:

This show was funny, enteraining, but a bit too much over the edge. The panel was very entertaining and intelligent. Can’t Goodson & Todman create a new show with this panel?

  • Kitty Katz says:

I’m trying to find Suzanne’s website. Can someone please give me the correct spelling of her last name? Thank you.

Oh please… Go back to the Stone Age, Bob. Maybe their game shows will be more to your liking.
