Dear hell I hope the presence of the Italian host is the only thing they carry over. If the Banker knows where the money is - as he does in Italy - that's the death of the show surely? (I'd fervently hope so, anyway.)

And if last night's game was an ugly one, it's quite normal for the offers to be above the mean at the end. That was how the Dutch formula was set up, people still No Deal them a lot of the time, and as far as I'm aware both the formula and the loss-chasing tendency has made it to the US show.

I believe that you have to exploit the one-case-to-open finish to provide at least one very difficult decision in every game. By slowly building the offers up and up (in terms of generosity anyway) that's precisely what you're doing - the tipping point will vary depending upon the player and the board, and frankly that's as it should be IMHO.

I'm not surprised they're decent young men, btw. I heard one of their comeback singles on the radio last year or the year before (yes, here in England) and quite liked it...

Little explanation about me not saying Hanson. I didn't watch on Monday, I just saw pictures from NBC press. My mistake, sorry.

I do welcome open criticism as long as it's thought out and not petty, as people like Jack have been doing.

I was a bit shocked too, they've turned into decent young men. The Banker was far too generous near the end, and he got bit in the end by it. But wow, did she have awful luck? It's strange that she played the perfect game, so good for her.

I hope there was someone who thought of this exchange:

"If you could have any woman in the world, who would it be?"
"Taylor Hanson."
".... Taylor Hanson's a guy."
".... you guys are yankin' me. Hey, let's put one over on old Quagmire."
"No, he's actually a guy, Quagmire."
"What? That's insane. That's impossible. ... Oh God. Oh my God. I've got all those magazines. Oh God."

To their benefit, I was pleasantly surprised to see they'd grown up a bit from their heyday in the 90s. I honestly didn't think anyone didn't care about them anymore - but it seemed to work for tonight's contestant who profited from the generosity of the Banker IMO.
