This seems rather cool: the company TimePlay is currently making technology for a UK game show where people in a movie theater setting can participate using wireless handheld devices.  Each player can compete against each other in the gigantic setting.  TimePlay and Endemol are expecting to debut the game in January, and they are hoping to push a US version out after that.  This will be the first US show on the iCinemaHD platform.

Also, after we were contacted about this, an application looking for an interactive game show producer appeared on Craigslist.
