The video clearly stated it was a “Week Long Event!”
Just for a week. And for God’s sake, let’s give it a chance at least. (rolls eyes) You watch one promo and you say, “Oh, I won’t like it!” HOW WILL YOU KNOW UNLESS YOU TRY?!
And yes Jack, Deal will be preempted that week, but will return the following Monday for it’s Christmas show! Personally, I hope the contestants shake that Scrooge…(The Banker) for all he’s worth!
This sounds like it will have a very good play at home factor. I agree that they should not give the “answers” to the home viewers, as that would totally take away from the “play at home” factor. I don’t think they’ll make that mistake. I think the key to the show (along with the contestant banter, which should be good with sarcastic Gillette), will be the “no way!” factor of seeing some guy with orange spiked hair actually being the accountant.
The only thing I worry about is that much of any game show’s audience is (I would guess) of an older, more “conservative” bent. Gillette is a very avowed Athiest. That doesn’t bother me (as a “non-church going Unitarian”) in the least, but, I would hate to see one of these knucklehead “Family” groups rally against the show just because of the host (even though I’m guessing he won’t go into any of those issues on the show anyway). This show, if they make it a bit more hip/flashy, might skew younger anyway.
DOND will actually NOT be preempted on 12/18…It will air at it’s regular time and will be followed by Identity at 9/8c on NBC. This is actually good news because the first show will get one heck of a lead in!
I wasn’t sure when I saw the promo for deal or no deal over a year ago but I end up watching DOND and it ended up being my favorite game show so maybe I will end up liking Identity too. I will check it out to see if i like this. It sounds like an interesting concept and i can’t wait to see what it will be like. If this show does well they could put it on either Tues or Wed at 7:00 P.M. CST. i know they are doing a week but i’m wondering if it does well if they’ll bring it back another week and then have it on twice a week. im surprised who they picked to host this but hey who knows this may work as well as Howie mandel on DOND and Bob Saget on 1 vs 100.

December 18th? Isn’t that a Monday? I wonder if it will replace DOND or air after DOND?
