“Identity” Air Date

BuzzerBlog was the first to announce “Identity” was going to NBC. Now it has an airdate. The show I am dubbing “Extreme What’s My Line” will debut in a week-long strip, much like “Deal or No Deal” did originally, on December 18th at 8PM ET. In “Identity”, Penn Jillette hosts the show where if you match the correct identity to each person, you will win $500,000. Be sure to check it out. It seems a bit too high of a budget for what the show is, but it looks interesting.

Howie Mandel, Bob Saget, William Shatner, and now Penn Jillette? I won’t be surprised if I read that Tony Danza is going to host the new “Child’s Play.”

Think of it like this: we could have Ricki Lake *shudders*

That’s true. And now that I think about it, NBC is more likely to hire a Jewish comedian from “The Aristocrats.” Picture this: Child’s Play hosted by… Lewis Black!

this show sounds interesting but im not sure yet if im sold on whose going to be hosting this but hey maybe i could be proved wrong. the five night thing will give me a chance to see if i like this but i hate the fact that its going to be on the same time that deal or no deal is but if they are going to rest deal or no deal for a while then i can understand that because i dont want to see deal or no deal get burned out which i think NBC is doing a good job on not doing that. i can see some play along factor possibly with this though. the factor that if they dont reveal who is who and you have to guess at home just like the contestant then it could be interesting. i just hope they leave dond in the monday time slot because its doing great there and I’ve talked to people who still love deal or no deal just like i do. i hope they put identity tues, wed or thurs at 7 but this show is going to have to do good up against either american idol, survivor, ugly betty or ncis hit shows. I dont know if this will be a hit but it sounds exciting and its probably would do better than friday night lights would. NBC needs something good besides deal or no deal although I will give nbc credit they probably would give a show more of a chance with a game show than Fox would (i.e. The Rich List). i think maybe all game shows that come to NBC should get a 5 night stunt for maybe a week or two and then dropped to once-twice a week after that .
