Howie Mandel Interview; Christmas “Deal or No Deal”

I figure this is a good time to update you on a few things.  But first, NBC supplied us with an interview with Deal or No Deal host Howie Mandel about the Christmas version.  I don’t know if he is oblivious to the fact that people seem to be sick of the gimmicks or NBC’s essentially feeding him what to say, but whatever.

Second off, we just finished a year of our new stat system and had to reset because, and I’m not kidding, a database expert said we had too many hits stored in that database for the stats page to load correctly.  All totalled over December 2007 to December 2008, we had over 2.6 million hits which stuns me, and I cannot thank you enough.  For a niche site, I’m overjoyed.  We had to reset the hits back to November 2008 as the earliest because of this and in the process I managed to mess up the stats database because I don’t know what I’m doing, and I ended up deleting about half of November’s stats by accident, but we’re up and running again.  Sorry for any slowness in the site today.  Blame me and my lack of computer knowledge.

And finally, Monday starts the Top 10 Most Memorable Moments of 2008 Countdown.  We did the Top 07 of 07 last year and I thought about making it Top 08 of 08, but there was just too much that happened.  The results really shocked me from our industry insider poll, and I’m sure you’ll be happy with how it turned out.  Tomorrow we’ll have one more user poll, but the results of Best New Show of 2008 was really interesting and I’m so happy that you all have fantastic judgement.
