Have You Seen: Science Channel’s “Head Games”
It seems like new game shows are popping up everywhere constantly, which is fantastic. The newest one is a Science Channel show which we discussed a while back when they were casting. It’s called Head Games which airs Saturdays at 9:00PM ET and it’s executive produced by Whoopi Goldberg so you know it’s going to be pretty funny and interesting. The host is Greg Proops, one of my favorite people on the planet. He’s a brilliant comedian (stand up and improv) and you probably know him from Whose Line is it Anyway?. It’s great to see him in something new. It’s Science Channel’s first game show and they picked a good one.
Head Games is a quirky and weird trivia show. As you can guess it’s all about science. We’re not getting into nerdy science stuff here. It’s science stuff that people like me who don’t know a thing about it can process. It’s a general quiz show beyond that. Answer right and win money, and the most right answers wins the game. They have a variety of rounds so it really doesn’t get boring and for a channel that doesn’t get much attention like the Science Channel, they have some pretty good cash payouts as well. Here’s a preview.
I mean really there isn’t that much to say. It’s a light, fun, quick quiz show that makes you think but doesn’t alienate you if you’re as horrible at anything science as I am. The set is beautiful. Â Greg Proops is fantastic as always. It’s a great all-around show. I love how cable channels, for the most part, come up with such better game shows than network or syndication. Head Games has a great website also that features lots of videos, information about anything you could possibly want on the show, and a really great online game that lets you play against some of your friends live using Facebook. Feel free to play against me if I’m ever on (and you can add our Facebook page to your list if you want as well). Check out Head Games on Saturdays at 9:00PM ET on Science Channel. Anyone see it yet? What did you think? I’m a fan of this one for sure.

Octopuses or octopodes! Not octopi! Stop getting Engish wrong!
I think this show is very educational and Greg Proops is not new in term of hosting game shows. He has hosted VS. on Comedy Network. I notice a lot of the comedians who were on Whose Line Is It Anyway is hosting a game show.
This is rather amazing! For those of us unable to view the Science Channel, does anybody know how to catch these episodes?
If you don't have the Science Channel, you probably need an upgrade on your cable box. This way you could watch head games.
The Good: interesting experiments, fun to play along, Greg Proops
The Bad: Low prize budget, bland set, Greg Proops's hair
