Current game show champions from such shows as ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER, MILLIONAIRE, and JEOPARDY!. Maybe you could have a possibility on finding at least a classic game show champion from back in the day. If I recall, Steve Beverly of the Game Show Convention Center suggested that an elite 8 (The Top 8 Champions from this year's GRAND SLAM) should be added. You never know Nikolai! You never know!

Wishful thinking, Jonathon, but I'm not so sure they would be able to do it. The one they already aired had 16 elite game show champions on it. Where do you think they are going to find 16 other ones? In my opinion, "Grand Slam" is just one of those shows you see only once in a while.

GSN: From WHAT'S MY LINE to GRAND SLAM. I think they had a great year thanks to GRAND SLAM. Let's hope for a 2008 version of GRAND SLAM.

I'm also assuming that since there are prexious few surviving episodes of both Trebek-hosted
versions of HIGH ROLLERS, we may not see any of the other Heatter-Quigley games of the 70's on GSN, unless they were to air them marathon-fashion (like Friday of Thanksgiving weekend), in which case, only one surviving episode would be needed. To refresh the memories, or enlighten those too young to remember what game shows of the 70's Merrill Heatter and the late Bob Quigley packaged...

*THE (original) HOLLYWOOD SQUARES (actually stared in 1966; ran on NBC 'til 1980, then ran one
more year in syndication).

*BAFFLE (a revised version of a game called PDQ, which ran in syndiaction from 1965-70)

*GAMBIT/LAS VEGAS GAMBIT

*THE MAGNIFICENT MARBLE MACHINE

*HOT SEAT

*TO SAY THE LEAST

*THE AMATEUR'S GUIDE TO LOVE

My apologies for any omissions...

SALE OF THE CENTURY, SCRABBLE, TIME MACHINE (Bruce Forsyth's) HOT STREAK, and the short-lived
SCATTERGORIES, which was hosted by Dick Clark, were all packaged by REG GRUNDY. As I unerstand
it, his shows are also now owned by FREMANTLE.

I like it when they show some of the classics. I'm hoping that they get the rights to show Scrabble, Sale of the Century, and, if NBC is willing to let them, Classic Concentration. High Rollers is good, but if that was aired you would likely see more of Wink's version than Trebek's version since I hear only a limited amount of episodes still exist. Anyway, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope GSN actually listens to the fans for once.

GSN this year i think is trying to come up with some originals ( How Much Is Enough, Lingo ( my personal favorite GSN original) I would like to see some more classics though like Jackpot, Older Chain Reaction either the first ones or the late 80's Version, Joker's Wild, Tic Tac Dough, Play The percentages, bullseye and bumper stumpers. I also would like to see GSN get some other classics too though ( Wipeout, Supermarket sweep, Debt, $1,000,000 chance of a lifetime, Talkabout, High Rollers because GSN doesn't have a dice game.
