GSN Develops Irish Show “The Box”

Hooray, my mother land developed a reality/game show that might be picked up! I never thought I’d type about an Irish import that wasn’t a potato famine, but GSN is developing the Irish reality/game show “The Box”. In it, two people will be trapped in a glass box for 24 hours in public. During the day, they will be facing quiz related challenges. As the end of the day, they will go against each other in a quiz competition, with the winner returning the next day to battle another person in The Box. These are the Irish rules, and if I had to guess, the returning champ part is going to go. Opinions about this? To me, it sounds like “Cram” 2.0, and I did enjoy that show. This one could be interesting.

As much as I like Cram I think this wouldn’t be as good as Cram but I’ll give it a try it GSN does give it the greenlight….

This sounds good. I’ll be looking forward to it.

based on that description, keeping people in the box seems forced to me. but hooray for a q & A original for GSN.

  • Wheelloon says:

Wasn’t a fan of Cram, myself, but I agree, this one does sound like a Cram 2.0.

I’ll tune in to watch it when it premieres, for sure, but it doesn’t sound like my type of show. But, any GSN original (besides CR WTF!?) is a good thing in my book…

That is one thing for sure I can not stand about GSN… Their reasons make sense for airing the shows but it would not be that bad to have returning champs… At least do the Press Your Luck rule with five days or a prize limit.

Show does sound like something I would watch…

On a side note, I saw that GSN picked up the recycle of Twenty-One… I totally forgot about that stint it had on NBC… I wasnt around for the first time Twenty-One was “on the air”.
