GSN Schedules Bob Barker Tribute
To honor the soon-to-be-departing The Price is Right host Bob Barker, GSN will be doing a week long tribute of classic game shows. GSN Salutes Bob Barker all week long starting May 15th through May 19th with episodes of I’ve Got A Secret, Family Feud, Match Game, and TattleTales. Not only that, people can log onto GSN.com and vote for the new host as well as play different games testing their knowledge of Barker. Not only that, Jeff Thisted, a current Price is Right staffer, makes his debut on Quiznation hosting an episode and giving some behind-the-scenes insight to Price. Here’s the schedule in full.
Tuesday, May 15th, to Friday, May 18th: Various episodes of Match Game at 9PM and 9:30PM ET
Tuesday, May 15th, to Friday, May 18th: Barkers Beauties VS Soap Stars on Family Feud at 11PM and 11:30PM ET
Saturday, May 19th: Game Show Host Countdown at 7PM ET
Saturday, May 19th: I’ve Got A Secret from 1972 at 11PM ET
Saturday, May 19th: TattleTales with Barker as host at 11:30PM ET

It really is a great idea to honour Bob Barker by doing this special week of classic game shows. Way to go, GSN! You ROCK!
That’d be good, but there’s one thig that GSN should do, and I think everyone does what I mean.
couple of typos, but if Les can do it, I think GSN should air The Price is Right on GSN also, in honor of Bob’s 35 years on it.
This can’t be taken as a legitimate tribute without episodes of TPiR and Truth or Consequences.
Bob deserves the honor — but in the RIGHT way, a way that GSN is either incapable or unwilling to pursue.
Keep in mind that this is during the same week that CBS is airing the TPiR Barker salute specials. So if anything, you can consider this an extension of that. Besides, I’m sure the folks at GSN want to air TPiR as much as we want them to – it’s Les Moonves that’s being fussy about it.
On the other end of the scale, they are skipping Family Game. I recall Barker was not too fond of that show.
No TPIR? Man, that stinks! Who did GSN sell the syndication and air rights to this time?
Sell what? GSN doesn’t own Price, and they can’t get it for the reasons noted in #5.
I FOUND OUT THAT THEY WILL BE AIRING A TPIR MARTHON ON MY CBS STATION ON MAY 19!!!!
If only GSN could do a viewer poll to determin Bob’s most greatest and most embarassing moments and present it in a one hour top 10 countdown.
It’s a real shame that Les had to take away TPIR from GSN, what’s wrong with 2 hours of TPIR anyway? I wonder if that’s the same reason WOF isn’t aired on GSN, a fear in decreased ratings.
Kudos to GSN on the tribute. But, like most everyone else here, it would do them better justice to air some TPIR. Oy Mr. Moonves, lighten up and let GSN have the rights again!
“I FOUND OUT THAT THEY WILL BE AIRING A TPIR MARTHON ON MY CBS STATION ON MAY 19!!!!” Who said that? That was not me.
OK, who wrote #9? Come on, who did it?
Sorry, wrong website. Who wrote #9?
With regards to TPIR, hopefully Moonves’ reign of terror will eventually end and the next president will be smart and let GSN air older TPIR episodes (with Barker). It’s not like the ratings on CBS will be the same no matter who the successor is. And as far as #11’s comment, WOF doesn’t air on GSN since Sajak blasted that network
Sajak doesn’t want people to see how young he use to be. So let it be said!
Well, he did have those boyish looks. But I’ll get Les Moonves’ e-mail address or somebody’s e-mail address for you.

Maybe we can get the Barry-Enright Duo (TJW & TTD), and some stuff from Grundy (Scrabble and SOTC). But the main focus is TPIR.
I wonder if the episode of IGAS is the one where he plays T(N)PIR with a few audience members and the panel…
And I knew he was a guest on Tattletales, but I never knew he hosted once? What was Bert doing that day?
I think he and his wife competed. Gene Rayburn did an episode as well.
