On June 2nd, GSN will pay tribute to actor, director, and long-time game show panelist Charles Nelson Reilly by having an all day marathon. On Saturday, June 2nd, GSN will show the top episodes of Match Game featuring the famous panelist from 9AM ET to 7PM ET. Following that GSN will show The Real Match Game Story: Behind the Blank from 7PM ET to 8PM ET. On Sunday Night (Monday Morning), an episode of What’s My Line? from 1964 at 3:00AM ET and I’ve Got A Secret from 1972 cap off the weekend tribute.
Highlights of the Match Game marathon will be several “fun” fights between Reilly and Brett Somers – one so bad that Rayburn had to separate them; an episode when he was dropped from the ceiling in a harness; one where he helped a contestant win a record amount and another in which he dressed in western garb. Some episodes will also feature him singing, dancing and performing impersonations.

Makes for a memorable tribute! RIP Charles!
Now that is a tribute worth watching
It would have been nice if GSN did a 9AM ET to 7PM ET tribue for Kitty Carisle and Tom Poston on a Saturday or Sunday. This tribue to Charles Nelson Reilly will be just as memorable as the Peter Tamarken tribue they did last year. (If Peter were still alive, he would be Bob Barker’s sucessor for The Price is Right, but I’m still rootin’ for Newton, Todd Newton.) Did GSN have a tribue to Debralee Scott who passed away two years ago? I don’t think they did one for her. Some of the Match Game episodes they will show in the CNR tribue will also have Debralee Scott in a few of them. I hope they show the one where Bill Anderson sings about Debralee and Charles and Brett are the backup singers. That one is a classic. Check it out on Youtube if want to see it.
