Tomorrow’s the big day. On GSN at 7PM ET, the winner of the first Grand Slam will be crowned and it will either be Ken Jennings or Ogi Ogas. Before we get into predictions and more, let’s look at their finest moments. Here are two videos, each of the contestant’s big wins.

Ogi has come off as so arrogant in the later rounds that I am now pulling for Ken to win.
I noticed in your article you mentioned “the winner of the First Grand Slam”. Not to be pessimistic, but I don’t think there will be a second Grand Slam series. You would probably need 16 more big money winners. Oh, will that be hard to find.
first off, that clip of Ogi is timeless… probably the first person to sit there and analyze the writers’ fake throw-off answers.. a great strategy, if you can actually deduce that kind of thing.. and he did.. good stuff!
Adam — are you serious? They had Victor Lee on there and he only won $83k.. they had Amy Kelley on there and she technically only won $20,500.. you don’t think there are 16 people out there that have won more than significant amounts of money that are readily available to go on GS2 There are tons of other Millionaire half-millionaires (and even millionaires) left, scores of 5-time Jeopardy winners, a few Greed people, not to mention the new crop of 1v100 people.. Russian Roulette, Pyramid, tons and tons of $100k+ winners everywhere, the list goes on.. anyway, point is, there’s tons of huge winners out there for them to crank out a GS9.. it’s a great game, they have to bring it back.. this whole “tournament-style” thing is an awesome twist on traditional game show formats..
..and then there’s the dude that broke the bonus round record on Lingo.. they should give him a shot :D (toot toot)
LOobs
What I’d love to see: a big winner on Fifth Grader vs an old five-time J! champ.
That’d be hilarious.
I’d love to see a second Grand Slam in THIS country, for a start… there’s easily sixteen more people for us, and probably for you guys too as pointed out by one of them…
Seconded. It couldn’t be that difficult to find a second group of 16 people deserving to be on this show, and then another 16 after that. I think having a qualifier for either non-big winners or civilians could make the game better. There are definitely very smart people out there who have never been on a game show but would like the chance. *points at self* :-P
Oh, absolutely.
Heck, have two ‘divisions’. Past contestants, first-timers. That’d be fabulous.
I like the cut of your jib, David. (But you knew that already. :-D)
