“Gong Show” Debuts Tonight

Tonight at 10:00PM ET sees the return of Gong Show on Comedy Central.  It’s hosted by Dave Attell, and you will see judges Brian Posehn, triumph the Insult Comic Dog, and Steve Schrippa and in the future will be Adam Carolla, Kate Walsh, Andy Dick, Ron White, Dave Navaro, Greg Giraldo, Jim Norton and JB Smoove.  From the previews it looks to be a really entertaining show.  I’ve noticed that we have a lot of advocates for family friendly non offensive television that roam these parts, so just be warned that it’s going to be dirty.  But hey, dirty humor is good in my book.  Be sure to leave your review of it here.

heh heh I wonder how Triumph will swing the mallet?

But I’m looking forward to this.

and yoiu can thank all the talent reality shows for bring this back!

  • Brandon says:

With “America’s Got Talent” as popular as it is, I wondered how long it would be before this show came back.

If they can keep the zaniness and not take themselves too seriously like AGT does, it could work.

Meh. I may tune in. By the way, Alex, I really appreciate when you write these “premieres tonight” posts, because I always tend to forget when new shows start, so keep doing these ;)

About halfway through the episode, and it’s pretty fun. The audience Comedy Central wants won’t remember the original version, except for maybe those who watched when it was on GSN. It helps that Attell is a popular name, but plays more of a straight-man than wacky Chuck.

So far so good, except the audience is a little too hyper.

Ah, I love Comedy Central, and this is another funny show to add to the repertoire, and man does it make up for “Extreme Gong.”

Who’s hoping we see an updated version of the Popsicle act?

If you remember, that act only got a 12……bet you it would get a perfect 30 TODAY!
