Game Shows Casting for GSN, The Hub, and More
Several game shows across the country are looking for contestants…and some shows need them very quickly. If you’re close to either New York or Los Angeles there are several opportunities for you and your entire family to get in on the fun and pick up some cash along the way.
*GSN’s Catch 21 is returning for a fourth season. They took a brief hiatus in taping a few weeks back but they are back to it. Further episodes of the Alfonso Ribeiro blackjack game show tape Monday, July 26th. They are looking for more contestants to be on this new season. If you’re between 20 and 50 and live in Los Angeles, click here to apply for it. You just need very basic trivia sense and the ability to count to 21 (which alludes people way too often). You can win up to $26,000 on this show, but they occasionally raise the top prize to something else so you never know.
*The Hub’s Family Game Night begins taping episodes today with host Todd Newton. I’ve seen a few pictures of the show and it’s massive and impressive. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. Hasbro is looking for families to take part. You need two parents and two kids between the ages of 8 and 15. Lots of cash, prizes, and a big trip are up for grabs playing larger-than-life versions of popular Hasbro board games. Click here if you want to play. This is one show to keep an eye out for.
*As we previously announced, Cartoon Network picked up the flopped Fox primetime game show Hole in the Wall. This time it’s more of a kids show which, frankly, will work much better for this type of funny stunt show. To play at least one person must be between 12 and 17, at least one person must be over 18, and you need to have three people so make up the numbers there. Click here to visit the casting website.
*A new game show pilot with a celebrity host (unnamed so far) is looking for people to play. The show is called Debt Free and quizzes couples in an effort to get rid of whatever debt they have. BET tried a show like this a bit ago called Pay It Off but it just didn’t work. If this is that popular of a game theme, someone should really just bring back Debt.
*I’ve got one more for people located near New York. Not a lot is known but they are looking for females who know, “all things Food, Style, Design, Beauty, and Pop Culture.” If you’re in your 20s or 30s and want to try it, click here.

I like the “Debt Free” idea, but considering how many folks probably have debt right now (*cough*studentloans!) I think it would be better suited for single contestants as well. Probably should also use more general knowledge and less guesstimating, but that’s just me.
