FOX announced that they have renewed their hit “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” picked up four more episodes for now, but that may increase.  FOX is wanting to test the waters a bit and see if the show can survive without the automatic ratings lifter than is “American Idol”.  After all, “UnamONEmous” lasted its season solely because of “Idol”.  However, the show did get the highest premiere in FOX history and is the season’s biggest new show.

Has the show gotten any better?  I watched the first episode, and that was more than enough for me to know I’ll never watch it again.  Can anyone convince me to watch it?  If you can convince me to turn off “Scrubs” and “30Rock”, I’ll be completely shocked, as I think Dr. Perry Cox is a bit more enjoyable than the creepy looking gym teacher that is Jeff Foxworthy.  I think there should be some sort of law that if you say the word “ain’t” while hosting a trivia show, you get an electric shock and automatically sent back to school to have the fact that “ain’t” isn’t a word driven into your head.
