First Look: “Price” PC Game

I just have one word right now: “Wow.” This is one of the most authentic looking games I have ever seen.  See what I mean by watching the video below.

It’s worth buying just to hear Rod Roddy again =) He was the one that announced Plinko in the vid.

It looks nice, but I’m still wary. Those 3D character models look worse than Jeff Foxworthy in the DS version of AYSTA5G, and did I see Freeze Frame on the turntable?

It looks great but where’s Drew or Bob or Todd? (If you have the DVD version of this game, then you would know that Todd Newton is your host on that version). They could have taken a cue from the company who did the Deal or No Deal game, at least you’ve got Howie on that one. (I don’t want to forget to mention Millionaire or Weakest Link - Regis and Anne Robinson). It is nice to hear Rod’s voice as well as Rich (God bless you Rod Roddy). It would have been nice to have a host for this game though. It gets to be too painful reading text. BTW Cory, I think you did see Freeze Frame on the turntable and I think I saw Flip Flop on the stage. Not too many game shows turned to PC games even have to original host. I have a copy of the $100,000 pyramid and you do not hear Dick Clark’s voice, it sort of sounds more like Burton Richardson’s. However, diehard game shows junkies like myself, (I mean good games not crap like AYSTAFG) will be chomping at the bit for this game. Hopefully we see a 1 vs. 100 game soon with Bob Saget.

Are we seriously going to nitpick over Freeze Frame being on the turntable? Next we’ll hear someone say the number displays on the showcase podiums aren’t eggcrate.

    SuperMatch2007,

Their alot of things wrong with BigJon’s games but I do like this one and I’ll have to check this out…

Now that you mentioned it, why aren’t there the so-called “eggcrate” displays? (just tryin’ to be the wiseguy, here; and only for “shiggles.” Remember, YOU initiated the observation!

    Antonio,

BigJon’s games are great! Are you by any chance Jackson from the forums? He’s the only one who hates the games…..

Anyways, I hope they don’t mess this one up.

A minor side note to user Michael on Post #5:

You forgot about Wheel of Fortune! Nearly every video game or PC game that I’ve had of that game show had Vanna White hosting. And the more recent ones had Charlie O’ Donnell announcing! ^^

And, to MrQuiz at Post #12: ‘Cause they suck! =P =P =P
