“Family Feud” Auditions in Orlando and Cabazon; New Facebook Game

UPDATED: Family Feud has added some more audition dates.  They will be in Boston on April 17th and 18th as well as Miami, Florida, on April 24th and 25th.  The contestant hot line as always is 323-762-8467 so keep checking for constant updates on those.  Check with your local events calendar also.

We’re getting all set up for an amazing twelfth season of the syndicated game show Family Feud.  The biggest change, of course, is that host John O’Hurley is leaving and being replaced by comedian and actor Steve Harvey, who looks like he’ll be doing great.  And since we’re so close to show time the show needs contestants.  Two auditions on both sides of the country are being held.  We went to one of these auditions last season to show you what really goes on in them, and you can read about it here.

The first audition is this week.  Feud will be traveling to the Morongo Resort Casino and Spa in Cabazon, California, to find families who want to win up to $150,000 and a new car.  Casting directors will be there for two days: Wednesday, March 24th and Thursday, March 25th.  Both days will be from 11:00AM ET to 7:00PM ET. The Resort is at 49500 Seminole Dr. Cabazon, CA 92230.  If you want to audition be sure to call 323-762-8467 or email morongo@familytryouts.com and of course have five people ready to go.  Having a backup isn’t a bad plan either, just in case.

The show will also be traveling to the east coast in April.  Feud will visit Orlando, Florida, from April 7th through the 11th for a full week of auditions.  Be sure to call 323-762-8467 or email: orlando@familytryouts.com, as always.  More will pop up along the way most likely so watch out.

Family Feud also recently launched an all-new Facebook game based on the bonus round Fast Money.  You can play the game and wrack up some big points.  Share the game with your friends, who can play the second half, and score even more.  It’s a great idea and it’s an incredibly good game.  Click here to play.

THIS. IS. AWESOME. The Facebook game, I mean. I'm addicted to these things and have been wishing for some Facebook game show games for awhile now.

FWIW, this game is way more than just Fast Money. You play a full one-player game in which you try to beat the "average" score as determined by the game creators, and then you only get to play Fast Money if you do (otherwise you lose.) Very reminiscent of the PC game from a few years ago.

Anyone have any other suggestions for good game show or game show-esque FB games I might not know about? All the Wheel of Fortune games I know of are terrible, but Wheel of Treasure is pretty good. Not even close to being in the league of this version of Family Feud, but still.

    Hi
I see in your post you say have 5 people ready to go, unfortunatly I only have four blood realted family members, am I correct that I'm unable to try out? It has to be real family correct? Thanks

if your family is picked from the Florida area, will taping be done in Orlando or CA?

  • Family Feud says:

That's a good question. The taping location for season #12 has yet to be determined.
    Thanks for your interest!

The thing I am curious about is whether or not the show is going to be changing its set drastically like it has done the previous times a new host has been introduced. My only gripe is the eggcrates are too outdated, especially with monitors elsewhere but the throwback set is nice and I'm… just… well I don't want to say I am hoping it will stay the same because I am open to anything, but this is a big point of interest for me!

I think it woud be cool to have some shows in Orlando at Disney or Universal Studios! Visitors can watch the shows if they are at the parks that day. :)

I talked to Alex Davis from Buzzerbolg (this site) and he said he's been getting alot of calls about it so he would shoot the producers an email and see what he could find out. He said probably in the next few weeks we should hear something that right now they are doing auditions in Atlanta still. If I hear anything eles I let you know!!!

Anyone heard anything about the audition results yet? Our family auditioned on 4/8 in orlando.

  • allison milford says:

has anyone heard any results for Atlanta auditions yet?? It was just 2 weeks Saturday.. the invite that was sent to us prior to auditioning said we would recieve a postcard after auditions within 3 weeks.. I know it has only been two just wondering if anyone has heard any news yet.. We had lots of fun auditioning in Atlanta.. Thanks in advance for any info.

  • Candice says:

We got out postcard from the Atlanta auditions yesterday saying we are potenetial contestants and they will call us soon regarding when we will be going down there! Super excited!

  • jdinan8271 says:

Given how notoriously slow Atlanta-area mail delivery it is, it could be awhile :) I'm still waiting for a postcard myself — will probably give it until the end of the week until I raise the white flag. Congrats to Candice and her family!

  • roxanna says:

Thats great!! We auditioned in Atlanta also..I really hope we get chosen, I will be on the lookout the rest of this week.:-)

  • roxanna says:

Hi Canice, Did everyone in your family receive a postcard? or only the team captain? We auditioned that Sunday in room b@4.

  • Candice says:

No, it was just me. I am the one who signed us up and was considered the "team captain". Now we just have to wait for a phone call….the post card says to be patient and wait for the producer to call me! Easier said than done! Ive seen where it takes them a month to call and I have also seen online where people have gotten a call the very next day.

I dont remember which room we auditoned in…it was the one on the left.

  • Allison says:

was the post card easy to see in the mail, I know it sounds like a stupid question, I just don't want it to get lost in the sales papers if its just a small white one or something like that.. Congrats to your family. My family tried out on Sat. we were the second family to do the moc game.. We were so excited and showed lots of spirit.. I hope we were chosen… Congrats.. I will keep my fingers crossed for your family!!

  • Candice says:

Thanks guys for all the congrats! Yes it was easy to spot, but Ive been looking for it since we auditioned! I think I basically just dropped all my other mail and started shaking, lol. Here is a link to a guys postcard he got so you know what it looks like. I dont have mine uploaded yet. If for some reason you cant see it let me know and I will upload mine.
