Embassy Row’s “Honey, Please!” Starts Casting
When there was some upfront information about a three-lettered-network that I enjoy immensely with shows I also enjoy quite a bit like Newlywed Game and Catch 21, I’m pretty sure there was something about a new hidden camera/stunt type show called Honey, Please! from the always terrific people at Embassy Row coming soon. Well anyway, that show has been casting for a bit now, and they are looking for couples. One person convinces the other to do some light hearted and non-hazardous for money. The activities will apparently be taken place in their house and cameras will be placed there for a day.
The certain network which isn’t FSN or HSN said it was in development, but it may be beyond it at this point for how many notices have gone out. I don’t know if this is a pilot or the real deal. But regardless it looks to be pretty fun and a nice, easy way to pick up some money. It’s pretty hard to screw up a hidden camera stunt show, and this is an interesting take on it. And as always with the Embassy Row crew behind it, I trust it even more.
The only catch to the show is you have to be within 2 hours driving distance of New York City, and obviously you can’t hold a gun to your partner’s head and say, “DUMP THE GARBAGE ON THE GROUND FOR $100 OR I’LL SHOOT.” Only legal stuff here. It is a television network dedicated to unscripted programming of a game variety after all, whatever network that may be.

so the network has the letters of the alphabet such a G or S or maybe even N?
Memo to GSN:
We don’t get $ale of The Century and/or Scrabble, yet we’re stuck with hidden-camera garbage like this? I have to wonder when exactly the program schedulers at GSN lost their passion for their job. I mean, they ditched Card Sharks, Blockbusters and Press Your Luck (the latter of which has been rerun-abused), but they’ve larded up the schedule with an hour of Match Game, an hour of Lingo, Chain Reaction ’06 and three hours of Poker? Wouldn’t it make more sense to add new-to-GSN shows (like the two I had mentioned above)? I mean, I know 1 vs. 100 will be showing up soon, but when will GSN actually listen to what fans have been demanding for the better part of a decade and take action? Do I have to go over to GSN HQ and program the whole schedule myself?!
No offense, Embassy Row, but if you’re going to do a hidden camera show, send it over to Fox Reality. Keep your reality TV out of my game shows.
I dunno wofnut.
I was thinking it had a F, an O and a X (while being subtitled “Reality”)…
