Ellen Degeneres Starts New “Russian Roulette” Themed Game “Know or Go”

If you’ve been a long time reader you’re probably well aware that one of my favorite games was the unfortunately short lived GSN original Russian Roulette (which I’d still love to see some network pick up a big money version of, and I think it would do pretty well, but I digress).  Ellen Degeneres often plays game shows on her talk show, giving prizes away to audience members.  Her newest one should have many people happy.  It’s really a huge Russian Roulette throwback called Know or Go.  It follows the basic structure of the game show’s end game Killer Questions, where you have to answer a series of questions to stay alive.  Miss one and you drop through a hole in the floor.  Take a look.

Makes me really wish some network would take a look and pick it up.

Haha, wow. I loved the original Russian Roulette, and I absolutely adore Ellen. The drop seems a lot funnier here, for some reason… it's just so sudden. I laughed a lot watching this. :D

    Long live Ellen!

Well, I can see this either as a network show *coughFoxCough*, or in syndication, that is if Ellen pitches this to a production company.

    • J.C. says:

Syndication: I'll gladly take it! Fox: I refuse, I flat out refuse, they're only gonna bastardize it by making it one hour………per segment…….and throwing in all those "AND FIND OUT WHAT MAKES THIS GUY DO THIS!…(contestant drops) trailers!

They picked up Hole In The Wall, which she used to play a lot. Maybe someone will take a look at this.

  • Ellen rotates this in from time to time to mix with her “Hasbro GameNight games” or Super Boppit, Guesstures, etc.

I agree with Alex, Russian Roulette should totally be on Fox with a $250K prize. and it should be easy for them to get Mark Walberg to host.

  • Craig says:

The only problem I see with that game is not knowing how many questions to answer correctly without falling in the hole. How's anyone gonna win that game? Sheesh!

Ellen is taking way too much sadistic pleasure in this

For a big money version, I can only see this on either FOX or NBC with a $500,000 top prize. A game show that I would like to see as a big-money version is The Rich List (and The Money List in syndication) on, oh idk….ABC or NBC.

  • Adam says:

NBC should pick up Know or Go. NBC needs to get back on the map.

  • Craig says:

Seems appropiate since my local NBC affiliate carries the Ellen Degeneres Show. It just might work.

I don't think the point is really to "win the game", per se…

This is a comic bit; not intended to be an actual game per se. Everyone that plays gets prizes. This is more for entertainment and fits in perfectly with the wacky culture that is Ellen's show!
