“Don’t Forget the Lyrics” Renewed

Fox’s newest show Don’t Forget the Lyrics has been renewed by Fox for a full second season after only three nights on the air. While it has gotten some decent ratings, especially for Fox’s standards, I’d say they’re jumping the gun on this one. It’s not really competition for The Singing Bee nor is it doing as well as it. No details will probably come for the second season until well…the first one is over. No air date has been announced although I would presume the reason for a quick renewal that for a Summer show, it’s good to keep. So expect to see it in the Summer of 2008.

It is a great show! I am not surprised it did get a second season. It plays like Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader? But with Karaoke instead.

And many people still don’t know this, but “Don’t Forget The Lyrics” is the only Primetime Game Show, that is shown in High-Definition. (Besides Wheel and Jeopardy)

I like the idea of this show, but it has not enough of a tension soundtrack as Singing Bee’s “FINAL COUNTDOWN”
