Donny Osmond Hosts UK “Identity”

Mr. Donny Osmond is quite a busy person in England now, isn’t he? Donny Osmond, host of Challenge’s Pyramid, has been named the host of BBC Two’s Identity. They are taking a step in a better direction than ours, however, as it is to be a daytime show. Maybe they won’t have two-minute-long reveals. The player will have to find the identities of 12 strangers like our version for a cash prize that is not known yet. Thirty episodes will be made. Also, rumor has it that Dancing With the Stars might end up on BBC Three. We’re finally getting back into the game show exporting business, aren’t we? It’s been a long time.

But “Dancing With the Stars” was originally a BBC show, wasn’t it?

  • Marc Power says:

hmmm. I don’t think Donny has the right personality for identity. if the uk’s identity is going to be anything like ours.

  • Joe Capitano says:

J: It was and still is, under the current title “Strictly Come Dancing.” The BBC website tells all (www.bbc.co.uk).

    The ‘Brucie Bonus’ lives on.

  • David Howell says:

I sense the show might be too much five times a week, but at least it’ll move. Clips I’ve seen of the US show seem… slow, and while I’ll concede it can get very tense indeed I still think it’s too much.

  • Doug Richardson says:

Yeah…the US NBC version is almost unwatchable, not because of the game, which is intriguing, but its pace that makes my grandmother look like an Olympic runner. Each time I try to give it a chance, I end up almost throwing the remote at the TV. It’s the number one complaint about the show…I’m sorta surprised NBC hasn’t picked up on that. I hope that they handle reveals better in the UK.

  • Harry says:

Where did you find this? I am from the UK and love Dancing With The Stars (known as Strictly Come Dancing in the UK) and i have heard about Identity.

  • Jordan Hass says:

is Donny Osmound the new Bruce Forsyth?

  • Adam says:

I wonder if Donny would’ve made a good DoND host?

  • Magus Cheetahfur says:

Hey, I think the IDENTITY in the UK will be cool, Ive been asked to be one of the identities and cant wait… :D

I think DOND in US, is no-way neer as good as in the UK… even though Noel Edmonds grates my cheese, its better with ‘real’ people opening the boxes and their interaction

    )O(
