Dick Clark to host “Rockin’ Eve” again
Dick Clark has now been confirmed to host “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” this year, but Ryan Seacrest is there alongside him. This year’s musical guest is Christina Aguilera, which makes me like Regis’s show even more.

I’m sorry but Dick Clark can find a way better co-host/sidekick to host rockin new years eve. Seacrest ain’t even a f@#*$n NY’er as far as I know. He’s all Los Angeles.
I don’t agree with his choice, but if that’s what he wants, fine. I love Dick and I always will. And for you immature readers, get your mind out of the gutter.
Interesting. I would never have thought of that “immature” innuendo if not for you.
Anyway, although this is really stretching it as game show news, I am excited to read this. After Clark had his stroke, that was the first year was the first time in my entire memory that I didn’t watch the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve. You can’t not applaud his stoic attitude. Seeing Dick Clark now on New Year’s Eve is more than just a tradition, it’s a comment on the human spirit.
Never mind, I’m starting to like Christina Aguilera & Ryan Seacrest.
I think this will be his last year, IMO.
Dick Clark is the man. Like Bob Barker is to the Price is Right, and Pat Sajak is to Wheel of Fortune, Dick Clark is the show. Even when Dick Clark had the stroke in 2004 and was unable to host New Year’s eve that year, I still enjoyed seeing Regis Philbin at the podium, but DICK IS THE MAN! I understand that his speech will probably be impaired for quite some time, but at least he is recovering slowly but surely. He’ll probably be hosting the ceremony for another five years.
Ryan Seacrest is the future of Rockin’ Eve, like him or not. A deal signed before last year’s show gives him the co-host role for as long as Dick Clark is alive, and total control over the show once he dies.
Well, I don’t know about all of you… but New Year’s Eve wouldn’t be the same without Dick Clark. Regis did a good job, but not nearly as great as Mr. Clark. Dick Clark IS New Year’s Eve. Even when you didn’t have a date or didn’t go out or anything, you can always switch to Dick Clark on the ABC Network and watch as Times Square have their party. But face the fact, Ryan Seacrest will be the next ‘Dick Clark’ long after he’s gone. I’ve always said that when I seen the first American Idol, but mark my words… You know, it’s a crazy idea, but I read somewhere online that ABC was trying to bring back American Bandstand… did anyone else hear about that too? IF you have and got information, please let me know… I’m a BIG Bandstand fanatic.
