GSN today named Dennis Gillespie as the new senior vice president of distribution for GSN. Mr. Gillespie, based out of GSN’s New York offices, will not only be charged with responsibilities involving subscriber acquisitions and retention, but will assist in the developmental plan of complementary products such as video-on-demand, international distribution and broadband initiatives for the Sony Pictures Entertainment and Liberty Media Corporation owned cable network.
Rich Cronin, president and CEO of GSN, stated, “We are pleased that Dennis is joining GSN at this time when we are expanding our businesses to the web and broadband. It was important for us to find a candidate who was experienced in digital and multi-platform opportunities and at the same time had exceptional relationships with the cable, satellite and telco companies. We passed the 60 million subscriber mark in the U.S. last year and look forward to Dennis leading us to 70 million and beyond. He and I worked together at Viacom and I’m thrilled that we are continuing that relationship at GSN.”
Dennis Gillespie has spent 12 years working for MTV Networks and held various job titles such as Vice President, Affiliate Sales, and Marketing for such networks as MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, TVLand, and Comedy Central, as well as a variety of key sales management positions for USA Network, Tribute Broadcasting, and Westinghouse Broadcasting and Cable.

Congratulations, I hope he can dump these reality shows remaining, and bring back some classic game shows like TPIR, Wheel of Fortune, $25,000 Pyramid
