“Deal or No Deal” Resumes Taping Soon

Who didn’t see this coming?  Deal or No Deal looks to be starting taping soon.  Possibly as soon as next week, but most likely sometime in Janaury.  No word on if it’s the daytime or primetime edition, but just about every daytime game show is done taping and I can’t imagine Deal is any different.  NBC is really struggling and Deal has to be back soon to plug in the holes.  Primetime Deal saw a ratings surge last week, peaking at 10 million viewers, when it was on a night other than Friday when people actually watch television.  What a shock!  I hate defending Primetime Deal and the circus that it quickly became, but it’s hard to deny that NBC viciously mistreated it this season.  We’ll let you know when the tapings specifically resume.

What?!!!!!!! Ben Silverman should’ve cancelled DOND already!!!!

  • Don H. says:

I would have been more surprised about this if it wasn’t for the fact that the last aired primetime episode ended with a game in progress…

Seriously, when I was watching that, and I saw that the show was almost over, I thought we were going to see a surprisingly early deal (it was the second offer). But when the contestant said NO DEAL, and the show ended, I wasn’t sure what to think!

  • Dawn Mays says:

I think Deal or No Deal is the best game show on T.V. it is entertaining for the whole family and it always leaves you with alot to talk about until it airs again!!! I say NBC should keep it on!!!!! I am determimed to be a contestant in 2009!!!!

  • DeVares says:

This is what I’ve been saying all along, Deal shouldn’t be on Friday Nights. And considering the fact that the daytime version is doing well, NBC should do all it can to keep the primetime version on the air, even if it means moving a show to another night.

To Dawn Mays: Keep trying, you might get to be on the show.

  • John M. from MICH. says:

Deal or No deal is one of the better prime time game shows.

I think the day time DoND version should have more higher money prize options than the ones presently given-shown:

The execs. should consider these prize example: $100K, $200K, $300K, $400K, & $500K ……I think this would considerably increase the daytime ratings.

  • The Chick says:

I say keep it on!!!!! Too many people dream of being on DOND and Dreams would be crushed, it is fun to watch!!!

I too will stay determined to get on!
