NBC released their midseason schedule shuffle today, and Deal or No Deal is moving to Wednesday nights at 9 PM EST. We don’t know exactly when this change should happen, though.
NOTE: 1 vs. 100 will still be on Fridays at 8 PM EST.

We now know. Per nbcumv.com, January 3.
if nbc keeps the monday slot of DOND then having the wed show of DOND wouldnt be bad. but look at what DOND Is up against Criminal Minds and Day Break possibly Lost when it returns. i hope nbc isn’t trying to kill off DOND. DOND is one of the funnest show I’ve ever seen. i have a great time just watching it and I couldn’t see primetime without it . last summer when DOND wasn’t on which i do understand the reasoning for it most of the shows last summer stunk. hopefully NBC will do a Mon at 7 central and Wed at 8 central then I could see DOND surviving. but maybe i will be surprised by this move and it will do good against Criminal minds even though I like that show and lost or day break.
According to yahoo.com and the nbcumv.com press release, it’s an added show, not a move. So it’s Mondays at 8e/7c and Wednesdays at 9e/8c (up against Fox’s Idol Results show) starting in January.
I don’t know that I’d count on two episodes per week lasting for long, though… they mention a couple of mid-season series starting “in Spring 2007″… I wouldn’t be surprised at all if a DoND spot is being held for them…
DoND facing the Idol results show?
Part of me says that’s just asking for trouble. Part of me says that could damage the Idol results show, given that it’s 30 minutes of airtime for one name to be announced. And part of me thinks that if DoND can face the two biggest scripted shows in television and come out only moderately damaged, it can take on Idol.
Having said that, it got crushed by Idol in March’s big-money week.
The change to Wednesday will begin on January 3, 2007.
But remember, after the audition weeks, they do 2 performance shows a week for the 24-to-12 round, which will hit DoND on Mondays for those 6 weeks (and those first semi-final weeks may have hour-long results shows)…once they get to the final 12, then DoND only has the results show conflict.
