“Deal or No Deal” and “1 VS 100″ to Get Facebook Games

Two things are evident from this story.  One is that social games are here to stay and that will be good for fans like us.  The second is that 1 VS 100, in some version, is never going to die.  Ever.  Endemol and iWin announced that the popular game shows Deal or No Deal and 1 VS 100 will be getting the Facebook treatment.  This comes right after Who Wants to be a Millionaire launched their own popular game.

Deal or No Deal will play like the American version where players will try to beat The Banker and get the top briefcase, or at least sell their case for more than its worth.  Players get to use “Sweeteners” to add big values to the game, reveal lower amounts, save certain bank offers, and more.  You get to compete against your friends in a special tournament mode and see who is the best. There is already a British adaptation on Facebook.

More exciting is the 1 VS 100 Facebook game coming soon.  You get to match wits against your friends and others in the virtual Mob and see who the smartest is.  You can call out for help to rescue some winnings you’ve lost, or you can add to your winnings by playing the special “Spin to Win” game. Both games are set to launch later this Spring.

“We’ve enjoyed tremendous growth over the past year with our games on Facebook, and we are excited to team up with Endemol to launch two more internationally recognized TV game show brands on the platform with Deal or No Deal and 1 vs. 100,” said Peter Negulescu, President of iWin, Inc. “This further strengthens our portfolio of branded social games on Facebook and demonstrates our deep expertise in creating game experiences that can bring together millions of players of all ages on a daily basis.”
