Dan Goldman Goes for $250,000 Today on “Millionaire”
It’s “Double Money” week all this week on Who Wants to be a Millionaire and one contestant is going for the big bucks today. Dan Goldman, an executive assistant from Teaneck, NJ, beat round one and entered Classic Millionaire on Tuesday’s episode. Dan lucked out by having $25,000 behind his Double Money question, asking what Native American tribe is a member of the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association. He correctly answered Comanche and scored $50,000 on his ninth question of the game. Dan passed round one with a massive $93,500 and two lifelines, Ask the Audience and Jump the Question left.
Dan Goldman used both of his lifelines on the $100,000 question, not wanting to risk dropping to $25,000 with a wrong answer. Dan will face his $250,000 first thing today. He will have to risk $68,500, but a right answer will award him $250,000. If Dan answers correctly he will be the fourth person this season to take the quarter million dollar prize. Here’s a preview to his question.
Which of these authors has never had one of his books selected for Oprah’s Book Club?
A: Mark Twain
B: Leo Tolstoy
C: Charles Dickens
D: William Faulkner
Did he answer it correctly? Better yet, do you know the answer? You’ll have to tune in to Millionaire today and find out. Good luck to Dan. I’d love to see another giant winner.

And tomorrow’s(Thursday) show will start off with a $250K question, after today’s contestant got to $73,500 with the help of Double Your MOney and jumped over the $100K question.
I’d LOVE to know more about the school Dan is hoping to open in NY. It’s close to a dream I have…adding pets who need a home!
For those of us who didn’t get to see this episode, what happened?
Meredith Vieira said “Hello and welcome to Millionaire”. Approximately 30 minutes later, Vieira said “From New York everybody, bye bye.”
Today’s episode had the first contestant stopping with $93,500 and passing on the $250K. The other contestant got to $73,500 and round two with one jump left, then jumped the $100K question and will see the $250K question tomorr.w
