Temptation might be on hold for a bit, but the better of the two new syndicated shows, Crosswords, will be holding auditions on the other side of the country so more people can try out. Auditions will take place at the NBC Towers in Chicago. The Crosswords crew will find 50 contestants, fly them to Los Angeles, and have them compete on national television for thousand(s?) of dollars and trips to (exotic?) places. Auditions will take place on Saturday, October 13th at 10AM. The exact address is NBC Towers, 454 North Columbus Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60611. There are a few stipulation, of course: you must be 18, you cannot have been on a game show in the past six months, and you can’t know anyone who works for Program Partners, William Morris Agency, Merv Griffin Entertainment, or anyone on the show’s staff. Good luck to all that try out!

Are they sure they want to do this? They know how bad their ratings are.

and the ads are misleading… exotic trips only if Antingua, Vegas and Pismo Beach are considered exotic and thousands if you’re good, heck, the winner of the one that aired here today got $300 and a vegas trip.

I was called today by Program Partners being invited to their Chicago tryouts. They wanted me in LA, but wasnt going to fly myself for their prize budget, but if they flying, maybe I’ll make the trip over to Chi town.

I’ll love to go since I’m a hour away from Chicago but I can’t because I’m already in the finals of the WOF (Wheel of Fortune) auditions in Milwaukee on October 24th…

At the auditions today they talked about some rules/payout changes being enacted on the show. Crossword Getaways are gone, Crossword Extras are now happening 5x/show, and a bonus round win is now $5,000 and a trip.

And XBOX 360 is now added to the bonus since Microsoft is advertising.
