I remember him from his panel appearances on Jim Rome is Burning, which makes me think that GSN could've done a lot worse.

Congrats, word fans. You aren't getting a plank of wood as host.

I, too, remember Roger Lodge, albeit mostly from "Blind Date," which only moderately qualifies as even a relationship show. If I recall, he was a Perfectly Acceptable Host, but I never got to see "ESPN Trivial Pursuit," so I'll reserve judgement. For my taste, the show sounds too much like the child of "Now You See It" and "That's the Question," which poses this question: if GSN is going to bring forth all these new shows, shouldn't there be a little more variety amongst them?

So, this would give Lingo a break from the 7:30pm slot. That's good because they can put the reruns of the current season on at 7:00pm to leave open a slot to put in new shows. I like their thinking about that.

Roger Lodge was a good host on both shows. Can't find anything wrong with his style, so if I'm still at home, I'll watch.

Count me among those who do remember Roger.

I've watched "Blind Date" once in a blue moon -- but he did an excellent job with "ESPN Trivial Pursuit". Bummer that show didn't last beyond its preview week. Sure, there were a lot of little problems -- but they were easily fixable.
