Very Good Idea. It should be exciting to see US Game Shows, UK Game Shows and Aussie Game Shows if only GSN, Challenge TV(UK) and FremantleMedia are making a partnership agreement.

Yeah, Hopefully GSN would really need to start paying attention and showing more respect to FremantleMedia and more possibly Challenge TV(UK). Fortunately, The Revival of UK Blockbusters can succeed real perfectly on Challenge TV(UK).

CS, I think that’s part of the problem. GSN does sometimes do GOOD revivals, properly tweaked (ie. transforming GAMBIT into CATCH 21). But when they mess with a working format TOO much (such as WHAMMY & 1 VS 100), it just doesn’t work. That’s why I hope if they ever do a revival of MATCH GAME (which TNT sadly passed on a while back), they try to duplicate the 70′s version as closely as possible (sort of what they did for GAMESHOW MARATHON; you remember they did the original PYL rather then WHAMMY).
As for the new BB, it looks great. I do hope they post a few eps so we Yanks across the pond can see it.

GSN is no stranger to revivals, Alex. Your mindset is what brought back 3′s A Crowd and Gong Show and Newlywed Game and Press Your Luck and Gambit and Chain Reaction and Jackpot. The thing with GSN is they don’t try to make programs that attract people at large, like CBS. They try to target a specific demo, and if anyone else shows up, that’s a bonus.

How nice of the question writer to practically hand a 50/50 question for a $100K level.

Howard Hughes had started Playboy by then and Rupert Murdoch is from Australia…hmm, really leaves only two answers to choose from.

Now I don’t have a problem with this question, but this just proves my point as to why there hasn’t been a winner in so many years–it’s all about the writing. Even a 50/50 question is tough enough to jump, but realistic enough to give a guess if not known. If the writing was more consistent and in line with this $100K question, we would get more moments like this.

I appeared as the audience contestant the day before. Unfortunately my episode didn’t air in my hometown because they were covering the Giants victory parade instead. But still, that was impressive winning a quarter million. Now how about a higher win?

I wish he would’ve used the Ask the Audience on the question when he used that first Jump. Then, he seriously might’ve seen the $1,000,000 question!

Altogether though, that was THE most exciting game of “Millionaire” I’ve seen in a long time! I really, REALLY thought he was going to go all the way! Great moment, great contestant, and just great all around!

LOVED seeing this!

Very snazzy update. Faithful to the original, yet keeping a modern twist. Can’t wait for this to air, though I hope (since I’m an American fan of the British Blockbusters) that it gets posted online. Simon also tweeted the first request for a P got a round of applause…this should be a sign of good things to come.

I think they’re also trying to coin a new term. If you look closely in the picture of Simon’s podium, the monitor mentions “Hexels” Won. This might refer to the individual blocks. Kinda neat, if you ask me.

Well, ABC’s Friday night schedule is currently filled with Shark Tank, What Would You Do? and 20/20, so one of those would have to leave to open a slot for The Exit List.

I know what I would do! Get rid of What Would You Do? What about you?

Knowing how ABC works, they’ll most likely place The Exit List on Tuesdays or Thursdays at 9 pm ET, right after Wipeout. Which day depends on whether or not Expedition Impossible is renewed…

As for the format…not sure… Can you see ABC renaming it as “The Million Dollar Exit List” and then placing $1 Million in one of the back rows. And then the ABC executives crying out in terror when it looks like the first team on the first episode is about to win $1 Million, even though it’s paid out over 40 years…

Typical ABC, they never learn, do they… Don’t create a Million Dollar Game Show and not expect to give away the million.

It does make sense for a game show network to revive a popular game show and not mess it up (I’m looking at you GSN, for ruining Lingo and 1 VS 100). Unfortunately, when you don’t have intelligent people running a television network, you don’t get intelligent decisions made.
