Comedy Central Picks Up “Kenny VS Spenny”
Kenny VS Spenny is the show that just will not die. GSN aired it when they rebranded, it basically bombed for two season, so why shouldn’t Comedy Central give it a run? No word on the time or date, but I have a feeling that there will be a good deal of tears shed on that sad day. According to GSNN”s Gordon Pepper, ‘So Comedy Central won’t invest money in Ken Jennings Vs. The World, but they will invest money in Kenny Vs. Spenny. Wha?’

Eh, that’s Comedy Central for ya. They don’t know how to do good shows anymore. After trying to sabotage Chappells Show, they cant do $hit.
As for Ken Jennigs vs. the world, that can be done at a better cable network… like USA or VH1 or Bravo… I don’t know honestly. Heh heh.
Kenny vs. Spenny is a critically-acclaimed show, and its format has been sold to many countries… Just because it doesn’t fit on GSN and it’s not really a game show doesn’t mean it’s not a good show. Comedy Central is the right place for that show, I think it should fit in very nicely.
Kenny vs. Spenny is Comedy Central fare for sure. It’s a great match.
I haven’t watched Comedy Central since they did a movie a few years back which was basically a mean-spirited version of the Joe Schmo Show. This move does not surprise me at all.
Like Donald said, it’s a better fit for comedy central becuase it’s more comedy rather than game. I think the show has had some moments: Personal fav: “Who can make the most money in 3 days” Kenny was selling time on the show to sponsors only to find out later he couldn’t do that without Spenny’s permission (since they each own the show) long story short Spenny won by betting his entire day’s pay from doing odd jobs on a horse and winning. but they go over the top too much eg. in the above Kenny had to eat Spenny’s underwear has a punishment for losing. and some competitions were just stupid eg. “Who’s the better woman”.
i actually enjoyed kenny vs. spenny on GSN. The reactions Kenny makes when he loses to Spenny (i.e.- the whos more sane episode) was priceless.
in a sense its a game show but its more comedy, and the shows concept is built for laughs.
So Comedy Central is a good place for the show.
I know KvS has a cult like following so it should be fine.
Ken Jennings show however should be on GSN with whatever venture he comes up with in the future. Game shows for him, thats his cup of tea.
