Check Out a Video Preview and Photo Gallery of ITV’s “The Exit List”
We’ve got another big quiz show coming to television soon. ITV is debuting their newest, the memory-infused quiz The Exit List, on Tuesday, January 10th, at 8:00PM UK (3:00PM ET). The Exit List, hosted by Matt Allwright, puts two people into a maze. Each room is filled with cash, but each new room they enter adds more items to the “Exit List”, which they must recite to win their bank. One room at the end is worth a big £100,000 for teams smart and brave enough to go that far. The show reached out to us with some pictures of the set that can only be described as incredible, a video preview of the show, plus what host Matt Allwright thinks about his upcoming gig.
The format is interesting because there’s really no set place you have to leave. You can beat room one, win £1,000, and rattle off that one answer to win a quick grand. Matt says that’s yet to happen and that the contestants are a lot braver than you may imagine. “It’s all in the contestants hands. If they want to take home a thousand pounds after answering one question, they can. But none of them do, thank goodness, and we’ve gone to on have some thrilling games with some big wins.” He continues, “I have the time of my life presenting The Exit List. What could be more fun than finding really nice, funny people, and trying to give them enough to pay off their mortgage, or start a home together?”
First off, take a look at the preview of the show. You’ll get the idea of how the show goes, plus a look at the set and more.

Look at the set and show in even more detail with the pictures in this gallery below. That, frankly, may be the coolest looking set I’ve ever seen. Amazing looking. Matt agrees, saying, “The stage is incredible. It’s built at the George Lucas stage at Elstree Studios, and coincidentally, it feels just like standing on the bridge of the Death Star.”
What do you think? Looking forward to the show. Don’t miss it Tuesday, January 10th, at 8:00PM UK on ITV.

Wow. And I thought the Russian “Russian Roulette” set was amazing. I hope they can do this with something similar to a decent pace, cos if they can, this could be one of the best big money shows since “The Cube.”
I live in the US, and cringe when someone mentions the Cube b/c I wonder if it will ever come to the US. I’m disappointed that I can only compete on American Game Shows.
If it does well, you can bet ABC will schedule it for a summer run this year.
If ABC picks it up and it’s a good show, it’s getting a timeslot somewhere around 4:00 A.M, with infomercials as a lead-in. Conversely, if it turns out to be terrible, it’s going in primetime.
If only they would add Temple Guards and Pitfalls to the game!
Another great idea that will get made so unrecognizable if it ever comes here.
I will say this. If they invite Marilu Henner from Taxi on there, they are going to be in serious trouble.
For those of you who don’t get that, watch the show “Unforgettable” and you’ll understand what I mean…
The set looks like a modernized version of ABC’s The Moneymaze from 1975. That show was produced by Don Lipp, who sadly passed away about a year ago. Before his passing I had a long, ongoing email relationship with Don. Some of his last correspondences said he was trying to revive the show overseas and even has some mock-ups done of possible sets. That’s as much info as I got before his passing. After his passing his son Matt shared with me that the remake was still “hopeful” but no deals had been completed. I wonder if this show has anything to do with Don Lipp’s attempt to remake The Moneymaze.
This looks like a great show. A US pilot was taped in October at JC Studios (Formerly NBC Studios) in Brooklyn, NY . I believe that Michael Davies is behind the US project. Let’s hope it will be airing here soon !
This game show was created by my brother David Grifhorst from the Netherlands. Maybe it also broadcast in America
Enjoyed every bit of your post.Really thank you!
