Challenge Picks Up “Deal or No Deal”; Adds “1 VS 100″ for November Run
Viewers of the British game show channel Challenge are in for a few new and returning shows in November. First, the popular Channel 4 daytime game show Deal or No Deal debuts for the first time ever on Monday, November 7th. You’ll get a chance to see the show from the very first episode back in October 2005. For the first two weeks two episodes will be shown at 8PM and 9PM. After that it settles into a regular 8PM slot starting November 21st. It’s going to be interesting to see how far the show has progressed since those early days.
Another popular Endemol show is making its way back to Challenge for the first time since it’s become Freeview. BBC’s 1 VS 100 will start Monday, November 21st, at 9PM. It’s the first time the show has been rerun on a Freeview channel. The lottery quiz show sees one contestant taken from the Mob of 100 others. That One must beat the others to win tens of thousands of pounds. The series ran from 2006 to 2009. BBC’s edition of the show more followed the Dutch format, where each player eliminated was worth a bounty and you were not allowed to walk away after every question.
Two older series are being showcased as well. Series 9 and 10 of the classic show 3-2-1 will be seen starting Thursday, November 3rd, at 10PM. Also, series 17 of Blankety Blank, the British equivalent of Match Game, starts on November 3rd at 11PM.
Looking forward to any of these?

So this is what it would be like if someone, somewhere in the US would start something on cable, I dunno, maybe call it Game Show Network?
Yep, but I doubt that will ever happen in our lifetime…
This is why Challenge should have a U.S. version here in the states. It would be allot better than what GSN is showing at the moment.
Figures that the British get what we don’t. That would be a lineup I’d watch. Alas, our channels will always show preference to advertising and never care what viewers think.
I agree that the U.S. should have the Challenge network (especially since I’m a game show freak of all countries) and love DOND, Catch Phrase, and many other UK game shows.
My point exactly!!!!
