Chris: No. There isn't. Everything sucks. You should know us better than that :P

In all seriousness...meh, Bingo doesn't bother me either way, but what does bother me is that the Dylan Lane snoozefest aka Chain Reaction: WTF Edition, is still getting any sort of airtime.

I think Mike B. hit it right on the head. Once this original "season" ends its original run, why would they want to re-run a re-run later that same evening? And, by that time, Chain Reaction will at least have had a bit of a rest and serve as a bit of a placeholder until GSN finds something new for that slot.

I got sick of Bingo America pretty fast, even before the big win (which was anticlimactic to say the least). Play-along aspect aside, it's a really generic quizzer, and knowing that the results are pre-determined kind of ruins the excitement of playing along. Still, I've been pulling for this show simply because GSN needs a hit badly, and it seemed like the type of show that could catch on with the masses. And I'd still take this over "Chain Reaction". But hey, they are keeping the 7 PM airing, so maybe they just don't want to wear out the 40 episodes.

Cullen's version would be something to see but it would be even better if they could acquire the shows from Canada with Geoff Edwards. Either way, they're both better then that train wreck.

Alex... only way they save on money is if they stop airing Bingo America all together, cutting out the 11p airing just reduces it to once airing a day (7p E), and as long as that is still in play, the at home game is still live.

Each GSN account can only print off 10 cards per show. Given the amount of kvetching I've read on GSN's board about how much ink people are going through, I doubt anybody will print any great volumes of Bingo America cards through multiple accounts. Unless you're extremely lucky, the cost of all the ink and paper wasted will be enormous. OTOH, I "print" to a PDF creator and visually compare my 10 daily cards on my monitor with the numbers chosen. I've wasted no ink and no paper, and won $50 on the April 11 show.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I watch the big money shows and when someone wins the big prize I usually tend to get tired of the show. Bingo America already gave away their top prize and then I start getting tired of it.

"Is this a budget saving maneuver to save from giving away another $5,000 to home viewers every night, or did the show’s popularity dip that quickly?"

Yes.

Honestly, Bingo has never worked as a TV show (Lingo notwithstanding). They tried it in the '60s with Monty Hall, and it flopped. They tried National Bingo Night, and that flopped. And now they're trying Bingo America, and that's flopping. Yes, I know - different eras, different presentation, etc. But you would think after a certain device has gone down in flames twice in a row, it's probably a safe bet that it's not worth making a show out of it.

I'm thinking it might be becuase they wont want tor eurn bingo america too much becuase people will be smart enough to record the numbers each and keep downlaoding cards until they find a winning card.
