“American Gladiators” Coming To DVD
More fun DVD news released today. The first season of American Gladiators with Mike Adamle, Joe Theismann, and Todd Christensen will be released on July 14th. The Original Series: The Battle Begins will contain all 26 episodes on 3 DVDs (which probably means this thing is on double-sided "Gemini" discs, folks). Even though you can officially view these episodes right now on YouTube, I'd still buy this so we have more of a chance of getting the rest of the series online or on DVD. So, when you're done watching Whose Line is it Anyway, go for the "Gold" that is American Gladiators.

It's very vaguely game show enough for me to post about it here, at least while clips of a new British game show are uploading. Another Whose Line is it Anyway? DVD is coming out in June, after a long delay. The "Best Of" collection will feature a much more impressive lineup than the last few DVDs. Show No. 308 "Ryan smashing head" (First Aired: Thursday June 14, 2001) Show No. 401 "good show with Wayne as Singing Bass and kissing Colin" (First Aired: Thursday September 6, 2001) Show No. 413 Too Hot For Whose Line (First Aired: Wednesday October 3, 2001) Show No. 512 "with Florence Henderson" (First Aired: Monday September 30, 2002) Show No. 521 "with Richard Simmons" (First Aired: Friday June 20, 2003) Show No. 610 "with Kat

We're going GSN crazy, aren't we? If we keep getting news, we'll keep publishing. We were given a few pictures of the new season of GSN's interactive game show Bingo America. I keep hearing that Richard Karn did exponentially better than season one host Patrick Duffy, who was just too rigid and stiff. New co-host Diane Mizota is also apparently a lot better than the last one, but that's not really hard. Former co-host Crystal was just, well, there. She could have been a cardboard cutout and it would have been the same. Not only that, somewhat amazingly to me, the show's already getting a DVD game. I'll give them credit at least. They are really selling this show on the fact that it's interactive, more than anything. If they keep

I have a feeling some of the more "passionate" The Price is Right fans are going to be happy when the DVD is released. First off, it's going to be $39.98 on March 25th; it's a four-DVD set that includes 930 minutes of shows. What shows you ask? Well you're in for a treat if you're a big fan. Some newer episodes included will be Bob Barker's full final week. However, they are going very very retro as well. Also included is the very first episode and some more interspersed. If you're not a Barker fan, maybe the classic Bill Cullen edition will entice you. Yes, they are including some of the old black and white episodes. The twenty six episodes on the set probably won't include and Drew Carey episodes, but I doubt many will care since those

No joke here: the Family Feud Movie Edition DVD Game is definitely for sale. Why they're still using the Karn/Anderson logo on this thing, I have no idea. But in any event, this one's actually starting out at $19.99 for a change. I'm not really that much of a movie buff, so I probably wouldn't try this out myself. I'm betting anything it's the Third Edition with a color change and movie questions. Order now from Amazon.com

TVShowsonDVD.com just posted a bit of information about the Price is Right DVD from BCI who also made the Match Game and upcoming Family Feud releases. The DVD will consist of 20 of the "craziest, funniest, and most memorable moments from 1972 to 2007." BCI has stated that the actual master episodes have been chosen and are at the BCI offices currently. A tentative Spring 2008 release date has been announced, but you know that that could change very easily. To the left is an image of the box as it is currently. And like before odds are that it will change to something else. Maybe it'll be just a huge image of Barker's face to really make some of the "more passionate" Price is Right fans happy.

The good folks over at TVShowsOnDVD.com have just announced that the "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Season 1, Volume 2 Uncensored DVD will be released on October 9th for $26.97. It seems like a lot for only ten episodes, so I might wait until Christmas for this one. So far, there is no indication of a censored version.

The "Match Game" DVD was a success, so obviously we will be having more game shows on DVD. More official announcements will be made today, but BCI is said to be launching "The Price is Right" and "Family Feud" on DVD in the upcoming future. Each set will be a "best of", containing some of each series' most memorable and greatest moments. No projected launch date has been announced yet, but we'll keep filling you in as news comes in.
