“The Price is Right” DVD Details

I have a feeling some of the more “passionate” The Price is Right fans are going to be happy when the DVD is released. First off, it’s going to be $39.98 on March 25th; it’s a four-DVD set that includes 930 minutes of shows. What shows you ask? Well you’re in for a treat if you’re a big fan.

Some newer episodes included will be Bob Barker’s full final week. However, they are going very very retro as well. Also included is the very first episode and some more interspersed. If you’re not a Barker fan, maybe the classic Bill Cullen edition will entice you. Yes, they are including some of the old black and white episodes. The twenty six episodes on the set probably won’t include and Drew Carey episodes, but I doubt many will care since those are available online. Some of you might want to pre-order it from Amazon for $10 cheaper.  Do that from here.

Looks like Price fans have an early Christmas present.

New Feud DVD Game Again

No joke here: the Family Feud Movie Edition DVD Game is definitely for sale. Why they’re still using the Karn/Anderson logo on this thing, I have no idea. But in any event, this one’s actually starting out at $19.99 for a change. I’m not really that much of a movie buff, so I probably wouldn’t try this out myself.  I’m betting anything it’s the Third Edition with a color change and movie questions.

“Price is Right” DVD Early Information

TVShowsonDVD.com just posted a bit of information about the Price is Right DVD from BCI who also made the Match Game and upcoming Family Feud releases. The DVD will consist of 20 of the “craziest, funniest, and most memorable moments from 1972 to 2007.” BCI has stated that the actual master episodes have been chosen and are at the BCI offices currently. A tentative Spring 2008 release date has been announced, but you know that that could change very easily. To the left is an image of the box as it is currently. And like before odds are that it will change to something else. Maybe it’ll be just a huge image of Barker’s face to really make some of the “more passionate” Price is Right fans happy.

“Family Feud” Episode DVDs Coming Soon!

BCI is releasing not one, but two volumes of Family Feud on DVD, both with Richard Dawson episodes only. The first, being released sometime in November, is the All-Star version, consisting of celebrities playing for charity. The second, coming out early next year, is a “Best of” edition, which will include the pilot and Richard’s last episode.

“Whose Line” Volume 2 Coming in October

The good folks over at TVShowsOnDVD.com have just announced that the “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Season 1, Volume 2 Uncensored DVD will be released on October 9th for $26.97. It seems like a lot for only ten episodes, so I might wait until Christmas for this one. So far, there is no indication of a censored version.

DVD Game Releases and Updates Galore

Five new DVD game updates for you. First, we have received word that the Press Your Luck DVD game can now be found at local s Blockbuster stores. A quick check reveals that it’s also available at Amazon for $19.95, a savings of four cents off the original price. Whoopee.

While peeking around at Amazon, we also found information on these next four games:

A big surprise on this one: the Family Feud 3rd Edition DVD is OUT!!! It’s available at Amazon for $19.99, and, surprisingly, the ONLY change on the box art from the previous two editions is that O’Hurley’s on there now. Whoop-dee-doo.

Two other DVD games coming out in July include Jeopardy and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, selling for $49.99 and $23.99, respectively. Both are set to be released in early July, according to Amazon.

And the final game, of which we have no idea when it will be released, is the 1 vs. 100 DVD. This one can be preordered for $19.99 at Amazon. It will be made by Mattel, so we’re expecting something as good, if not better, than the tabletop game.

I want to encourage you, if you do see PYL or Feud somewhere, please let us know by commenting.  I will also try my best to check a few stores tomorrow, and report back on any findings.

“1 VS 100″ Board + DVD Game Coming Soon

Thanks to reader Jordan Hass for showing us this.  Barnes and Noble is touting a “1 VS 100″ DVD game from Matell.  The example cover art looks like it was from a crappy cell phone, but you can check it out here.  It comes out Wednesday, February 28th, and is $24.95.  Also, Target is showing off the Pressman “1 VS 100″ board game which appears to be out now and is $24.99.  You can order that one at this link.  So those who were doom and gloom about “Identity” taking the slot of “1 VS 100″, calm down, it looks like it’s not going anywhere permanently.

Family Feud 3rd Edition DVD Coming in August

This one came out of nowhere. Apparently, a THIRD edition of the Family Feud DVD game is being released this August with John O’Hurley taking the helm. O’Hurley and Howie Mandel will be appearing together at the American International Toy Fair on Sunday promoting Imagination’s DVD games, including this one.

BCI Announces New Game Show DVDs

The “Match Game” DVD was a success, so obviously we will be having more game shows on DVD. More official announcements will be made today, but BCI is said to be launching “The Price is Right” and “Family Feud” on DVD in the upcoming future. Each set will be a “best of”, containing some of each series’ most memorable and greatest moments. No projected launch date has been announced yet, but we’ll keep filling you in as news comes in. BCI recently landed a five year deal with Fremantle to do more DVD collections from their extensive episode archives. NATPE is today, Wednesday, and Thursday, so we’ll have constant updates.

Imagination Releases “Press Your Luck” DVD Game

Imagination Games, who released the “Deal or No Deal” DVD game, is launching a new one for the show “Press Your Luck”.  Sadly, though, not a lot is known about it except that Todd Newton is hosting, which is rather interesting seeing that “Whammy!” was, well, special.  Check for this in your local Target stores or online.
