“Family Feud”: Pastor’s Wife Gives Us a Spit-Take
Family Feud has given us another moment which I have a feeling will become a viral hit. Have you ever noticed that it's always the most innocent looking people that give the answers that make your jaw drop? It's happened quite a bit over the years, and Feud has just produced another. Here's seemingly innocent Magen, a pastor's wife. The question is simple: name something you put in your mouth but don't swallow. Yes, there are some obvious dirty answers. I don't think anyone ever expected Magen to say what she did. The moment is hysterical, as is Steve's dance when the answer is revealed. You aren't going to want to miss this moment. “Family Feud” Debuts New Season Today
Get set: Family Feud is back for another season. Steve Harvey returns as host after increasing ratings by over 30% from his previous season and jumping the show to third place, only behind Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!. What should you expect this season? More of the same comedy that literally brought hundreds of thousands more viewers to the show for starters. Look for the audience to have a slightly different vibe as well. The change from the Los Angeles to Orlando audience last season was noticeable. Let's see how it goes with Atlanta audiences. Pictures from the Set of “Family Feud”; Favorite Moment from Steve’s First Season?
We're continuing highlighting all of this Fall's upcoming season premieres. Family Feud kicks off with a new season on September 12th. Though this current version of Feud has been going on since 1999 this is host Steve Harvey's second season. In the first season alone he skyrocketed ratings and brought an entirely new comedic feel to the show. Few game shows have been set up for social networking like Feud. Over the past year the Facebook game and YouTube page have brought massive awareness to the once-stagnant franchise. And beyond that, when is the last time you heard about a host switch for a game show working this well? I can't think of another instance. Fall 2011 Game Show Season Debut Dates
We've got some cool features on The Hub's Family Game Night and Scrabble Showdown coming soon. News Flashes: Ratings, Casting, and Facebook Games
There isn't a large amount of big news going around, so here are some smaller stories making the rounds. First, the syndication season is winding down so ratings are doing their typical dips. The week ending April 17th saw some drops. Next, East coasters have two chances to be a part of a game show. First off, Family Feud will be coming to Atlantic City to cast soon. Also MTV2 is getting into the game show genre with a quiz show based on hip hop. Finally, We recently discussed the new Jeopardy! Facebook game, and already another is out. “Family Feud” is Going to Hell
...in a good way. Family Feud uploaded two new clips of the show to YouTube. Some of the questions do lead to a weird or out-there answer, but remember the skill it takes for the host, Steve Harvey, to interact with them. Some hosts would just repeat what they said, laugh for a second, and move on. Steve plays off what the contestants say and turns it into comedy gold. That's why he's great at the show and why he's, without a doubt, the best host the show has had since Richard Dawson. Click here to see the videos.

Further Reasons Why Steve Harvey Rocks on “Family Feud”
We're past the half way mark for this season's Family Feud and Steve Harvey is still delivering huge laughs. Simple question: "When people fall asleep at night, name something they're still clutching in their hands." I'm sure you can guess what one of the answers is. Ratings Report: “Money Drop” Stabilizes
We're now completely out of any form of 2010 ratings for syndication. Updates for both last night's Million Dollar Money Drop and all of syndication for the week ending January 9th are in. There's some relatively decent news for Money Drop. Its ratings seemed to have stabilized and the viewers who like it are sticking with it. Last night's show, with a record $300,000 win, got a 3.4/5 rating. On the surface, yeah, it's not the greatest rating on the planet, but it's pretty close to Minute to Win It which gets touted as the greatest thing to ever happen to game shows, and Money Drop is cheap enough.
