Until today, gamestop.com and gamespot.com had Deal or No Deal for the Nintendo DS as being available this Tuesday, July 3. That date has been pushed back to August 7. Gamespot.com lists the Game Boy Advance version as being released on July 17. Destination Software added some screen shots of the DS game within the past few days. Gamestop.com has the DS game listed at $29.99. Hopefully that price drops a bit because I’m not overly impressed with the graphics and because most, if not all of Destination Software’s previous DS titles have had pricepoints of $20. Outside of being listed as “coming soon” on Destination’s web site, there is no news about Deal for the Wii.

Family Feud has a taping this Thursday at Tribune Studios. Currently, it’s the only session listed, so I’m not sure if this means that they’re starting a new season or taping more segments for the upcoming DVD game.
Bob Barker, who received what are most likely the last two Daytime Emmys of his career last night, is backing none other than Rosie “Rowdy on The View” O’Donnell, who has hosted neither a TPiR Live show or a run-through session at Studio 33. “There’s no doubt in my mind she could do the show,” says Barker. “She told me she loved The Price Is Right and wanted to host it one day.” I’d like to see her at least try, and hear what the fans think about her afterwards.
A representative from Time Magazine told us that Time.com has listed their top 15 game show hosts of all time and it’s very interesting. Check the site out here for the full list. Just expect some old standards like Bob Barker plus some unexpected ones. Any comments on it?
We have a lot of readers who visit the Game Show Forum, and we’ve received a ton of emails about what’s going on with it. From one of the head moderators, David Zinkin, Invision technical support is saying that there is a “hardware issue” with the server, and it’s being worked on. They can’t promise a definite time. Again, this is coming from Invision technical support, not the moderators of the forum. We’ll keep you updated on the status.
For the FLASHGames2 Fans
I constantly and weekly get emails saying “HEY, I WANT TO PLAY THE MONEY CARDS. WHEN IS FLASHGAMES2 COMING BACK??!?” I’ve gotten a few exactly like that, as a matter of fact. If you want any more up-to-date info, you might want to check out THEIR WEBSITE right now. One of the owners, Chris Colbourne, posted a giant letter at THIS LINK also. Just check it out and, hey, stop emailing me about it. It’s coming back, trust me.
RIP Darren McGaven
Not a day after Don Knotts was announced dead, Darren McGaven, who died at the age of 83 of natural causes in Los Angeles. For game show fans (thanks to IMDb, because I wouldn’t have a clue normally), he was featured on a ton of game shows, like Family Feud, Celebrity Sweepstakes, TattleTales, It Takes Two, Password, and To Tell The Truth. I would think that GSN will be giving some sort of tribute. For non-game show freaks, Darren McGaven was featured in five TV series, like “Mike Hammer”, but is probably most known by a semi-younger crowd for his role as Ralphie’s dad in the classic comedy “A Christmas Story”. His final role was on the pilot “Night Stalker” in 2005 as, and I’m serious, Reporter Standing At Desk.
The popular news paper The New York Times and the popular game show “Jeopardy!” are teaming up, as The Times is putting a “Clue of the Day” answered in the next episode of “Jeopardy!” or in the next edition of The Times. Also, The Times will appear as a category on “Jeopardy!” from time to time, with the Clue Crue traveling on February 25th from 10AM to 12PM at the New York Times Travel Show at the Jarvis Center.

We just recently found out that CBS.com has announced the cast of the next edition of “The Amazing Race”. Don’t worry, it’s not a family edition. We’re back to teams of two facing off for a cool million. Instead of us listing it, here’s the CBS website with all the cast. The next edition of “The Amazing Race” will debut on Tuesday, February 28th at 9PM ET on CBS. As always, catch the reruns of previous seasons on GSN Wednesday through Sunday at 9PM ET/PT.
