“The Price is Right” Launches First-Ever “Celebrity Week” on January 2nd
CBS's daytime game show The Price is Right will celebrate its 40th season on the air by having its very first celebrity week in the long running show's history. The special week begins on January 2nd and ends January 6th. The celebrity week will see one celebrity appearing each show playing with contestants. The celebrity will be playing for charity. The celebrities also get to spin the Big Wheel for a chance to win big money for charity. Finally, each celebrity has prepared a Showcase filled with their personal favorite prizes which the two regular contestants get to play for. CBS's The Price is Right will continue showing their appreciation of the United States military with a special Veteran's Day episode. This special edition will air Friday, November 11th. The audience will be made up of five branches of military: the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. Watch as the nation's military tries to win cars, trips, and big money. This is the fourth consecutieve year the Department of Defense’s oldest and largest Exchange Service has partnered with The Price is Right to celebrate the holiday.

One thing CBS's The Price is Right does exceptionally well year after year are their themed shows. The Halloween episodes are ones to never miss. This year on Monday, October 31st, Drew Carey, George Gray, and crew are throwing a 1970's disco party. The set, cast, and crew will be dressed up. Some games will be given a temporary upgrade to look more 70s. Not only that, special guest Ted Lange from the classic sitcom The Love Boat will stop by and help present a Showcase. The Price is Right already began its 40th season in a shocking way yesterday with the classic Race Game played for an unprecedented four cars, which was then won in a shocking 13 seconds on the first try. The Drew Carey hosted game show still has many more surprises and exciting features to showcase, though. First off, on Wednesday, September 28th, Price will celebrate its 7,500th episode which is mind blowing. However, on January 2nd, the show will do something its never done before: a celebrity week. BuzzerBlog has been around since April 2005. We've seen it all. We've seen people win millions. We've seen people lose hundreds of thousands. Again, we've seen it all. It takes a lot for a show to make my jaw drop. The Price is Right managed to do that today. It was the season debut, and as always they went all out. First of all, the updated set looks incredible so great job to them. George Gray and Drew Carey are as good as ever. Beyond all of that, though, the first game left me, and apparently a large number of viewers speechless. Not only the game, though, but what happened. If you haven't seen it, check out the video. Television's longest running game show is back for another season of prizes, cash, and cars. The Price is Right returns with new episodes on Monday, September 19th, on CBS. Drew Carey and George Gray are back for another year of games. This season features some set upgrades like a large new monitor and new lighting. Games like Punch-A-Bunch have been upgraded for bigger cash and prizes. The show has also scheduled its first guest of the season. Comedian and former talk show host George Lopez will appear for a Showcase on September 30th. George lost a bet regarding if Lebron James would leave Cleveland, which we've all been made very aware of the fact that he did, so he's on the show doing a Showcase.
