“The Bank Job” Finale: Could You Steal £460,000?

The finale of Channel 4's weeklong event game show The Bank Job aired this Saturday and came with a big twist.  All other nights four contestants were narrowed to one, who went into the finale with the money they took from the vault.  However, for the Saturday finale, two winners were crowned.  A jackpot of £467,500 was available.  How did they determine how the money was going to be given away?  The classic Prisoner's Dilema was brought back.  British readers may know it as Share or Shaft.  Americans may know it as Friend or Foe.  Regardless, it asked the same question: could you steal a total of over £460,000 from a person standing inches away from you.  For an American perspective, this is over $700,000.  Click here to watch and let us know what you would have done.

“The Price is Right” Contestant from 1961 Returns to Contestant Row

A few years ago CBS updated the eligibility requirements for their long running daytime game show The Price is Right.  They are now letting contestants who appeared on the show ten years ago back.  This lets some contestants from a long, long time ago to return to the stage and play for even bigger cash and prizes.  One of these situations happened today, but it wasn't a previous contestant from the Bob Barker era.  Jane, a contestant who appeared on the Bill Cullen edition from 1961 returned to the show and made it on stage to play for a very nice trip on Double Prices.  It was a great segment.  Click here to check it out.

Pub Quiz Team Wins $600,000 on “Million Dollar Mind Game” Thumbnail

Pub Quiz Team Wins $600,000 on “Million Dollar Mind Game”

It's not certain if ABC's great game show Million Dollar Mind Game has a shot of showing up anywhere else, but if not they've given us more memorable moments in six weeks than many shows give us in years.  This weekend brought another moment.  Team Pub Quiz, all pub quiz players from around the country, came together and won $600,000 to split.  Among the team members was Brad Rutter, the biggest winner in Jeopardy! history.  The final vote to play for $1,000,000 or keep $600,000 was somewhat terrifying given what happened a few weeks ago, but it was a great way to end this cycle.  We'll probably be talking about the show more in the future and can summarize our thoughts more later.  But in the meantime, if you missed the episode, check it out.  Click here to watch.  What did you think?  Could you have done as well?
