Jeremy Blais, a Surf Rescue lifeguard and pharmacist from Matunuck, RI, became the newest mega money winner on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. On Wednesday Jeremy won the $250,000 prize, making him the third person this season to take home the third biggest amount of money the show can offer. Jeremy won by Jumping over the $100,000 question, reasoning out the $250,000 and finding the right answer, and finally walking away on the $500,000 question.

Jeremy cruised through the first round with $67,600 in his bank. He managed to retain one Jump the Question lifeline and Ask the Audience. His $100,000 question asked, “What media magnate claims he was the USS Enterprise’s radar operator when it tracked John Glenn’s space capsule in 1962?” He elected to Jump the Question and face the $250,000 question…

In October 2008, the Chicago-based Internet company Groupon sold its first discount deal, a two-for-one offer on what?
A: Teeth cleanings
B: Pizza
C: Yoga classes
D: Movie tickets

After realizing that the word “Chicago” in the question would most likely be a clue, Jeremy made B, Pizza, his final answer and scored the $250,000 prize. His $500,000 question was…

In the famous painting “Washington Crossing the Delaware,” what future U.S. President is depicted holding the flag?
A: John Quincy Adams
B: Thomas Jefferson
C: James Monroe
D: James Madison

Though he had a hunch that it was D, the audience thought the answer was B. Jeremy wisely decided to leave with $250,000. If he went for it he would have lost $225,000 and dropped back to the $25,000 level. The correct answer was C.

This win makes Jeremy Blais the third $250,000 winner this season, following celebrity Anthony Anderson and Noam Osband. Jeremy is the seventh person to win $250,000 since Millionaire switched to the current Super Mix format. No one has won higher yet. Keep checking the show out in the next few weeks. You never know when someone may.

Did you miss Jeremy’s amazing game? Here are a few highlights of his run. It was a great moment. I haven’t seen a reaction like his family’s in a while. It looked like they were about to pass out. Photo and video courtesy Valleycrest Productions Ltd.

If you missed last night’s episode of The Exit List, ITV’s criminally mistreated quiz show airing Tuesdays at 8:00PM UK (3:00PM ET), you missed one hell of a game that you may want to catch up on. In the series fifth episode we saw what was just about as perfect a game as you’re going to get. Contestants Scott and Jane Couper, from Milngavie, took an astounding £137,000 out of the Memory Maze and became the biggest winners yet of the Matt Allwright hosted game.

Scott and Jane, as we said before, played nearly a perfect game save for one Panic Room. The couple traveled through ten rooms, including the jackpot £100,000 room, and never missed a question. One of the rooms was a Panic Room, and the the Coupers only missed one item resulting in a Panic Code of just the number two. Jane was selected to recite the Exit List and make her way out of the Memory Maze with £137,000. Scott was offered £55,000 by the Maze to end the game, but he trusted in his wife and the team collected the prize. The Coupers are the second couple to leave with six figures and became the biggest winners. Jenny and David Bentley, on the first episode, won £100,000.

Check out the episode below. We’re looking forward to seeing the ratings. The Exit List deserves a lot more than it’s getting. I can see why High Stakes was moved to Tuesdays, but I’ve got no clue why The Exit List was. The set is awesome, the music is amazing, and the game has great play-along and I’ve yet to see an episode that wasn’t pretty exciting. I don’t get it. Image and video courtesy ITV and Gogglebox Entertainment.

The finale of Channel 4′s weeklong event game show The Bank Job aired this Saturday and came with a big twist. All other nights four contestants were narrowed to one, who went into the finale with the money they took from the vault. However, for the Saturday finale, two winners were crowned. A jackpot of £467,500 was available. How did they determine how the money was going to be given away? The classic Prisoner’s Dilema was brought back. British readers may know it as Share or Shaft. Americans may know it as Friend or Foe. Regardless, it asked the same question: could you steal a total of over £460,000 from a person standing inches away from you. For an American perspective, this is over $700,000.

Take a look at how it went below. I think that the Friend or Foe decision at the end came out of no where and felt tacked on to just do something with the two people left in the game, but it’s impossible to argue it was exciting. Each contestant has two cases…Cash or Trash. They’ll exchange cases. If both give each other cash, they split £467,500 and take home half each (over $350,000). If one gives Cash and the other Trash, the person who got the Cash will take home the entire £467,500 and the person who got Trash gets nothing. However, if both give Trash, neither gets a thing and the three losers from the day split the prize, each receiving over £150,000. What happened? You’ll be holding your breath.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Video courtesy Channel 4 and Endemol.

So I do have issues with it, but was that exciting or what? The Bank Job had some issues, but most of it was due to the unnecessary decision to air the show live as opposed to taping it and ironing out some of the major kinks that severely hurt the show earlier in the week. It wasn’t bad, though, and I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing some new episodes.

Could you have done what they did? I couldn’t.

One of our favorites, ITV’s The Chase, returns for a new series of episodes. Be sure to watch weekdays at 5:00PM (12:00PM ET US) The celebrity series they had a few weeks ago was great, but we’re back to regular contestants trying to win tens of thousands of pounds by outsmarting one of the four Chasers, some of England’s greatest quizzers. Just two days in and we’ve already had some memorable moments. Yesterday a contestant successful captured a nearly-record £66,000…only £1,000 off the record from a celebrity show. They’ve had their share of funny moments as well. Not only that, though, the show is casting for new contestants to take on The Chasers, and you can be one of those people and potentially win big money.

If you’d like to be a contestant, click here to visit the show’s website. They take a huge group of people, and we know many readers have been on the show. We’d love to see one of you be the next person to take down The Chaser. Again, click here to visit the show’s website and apply. Good luck.

First off, here’s a look at a funny moment when a contestant can’t seem to keep quiet about an answer.

And second off here’s some of yesterday’s episode. The fourth chase, and the Final Chase, in particular are very exciting. There was a big first in the episode: The Chaser failed to lock in an answer during the time limit, letting the contestant have a giant advantage to claim the £66,000 prize.

It's not certain if ABC's great game show Million Dollar Mind Game has a shot of showing up anywhere else, but if not they've given us more memorable moments in six weeks than many shows give us in years. This weekend brought another moment. Team Pub Quiz, all pub quiz players from around the country, came together and won $600,000 to split. Among the team members was Brad Rutter, the biggest winner in Jeopardy! history. The final vote to play for $1,000,000 or keep $600,000 was somewhat terrifying given what happened a few weeks ago, but it was a great way to end this cycle. We'll probably be talking about the show more in the future and can summarize our thoughts more later. But in the meantime, if you missed the episode, check it out. Click here to watch. What did you think? Could you have done as well?

ABC’s incredibly good Million Dollar Mind Game may be tough for one individual person, but get a group of six smart and determined people and you can reason out the tricky logic puzzles to win huge money. It happened again this past weekend as a team of six Air Force members circled the table to $210,000 to share between them. So far they are the highest winners on the series and have the second best record of right answers.

For $210,000; the question host Vernon Kay posed was, “In the 1990s, a revolutionary leader proudly claimed that he’d gotten a medal from the World Health Organization for something he stopped doing nine years earlier, which was what?” Down to the wire the team reasoned out the correct answer and unanimously agreed to take home their $35,000 a piece. Do you know the answer? Watch the episode to find out.

Did you miss the episode and want to see it? Check it out here. What did you think of the episode? The show keeps getting better and better. Vernon Kay’s progress at this show from the first taped (the $600,000 loss) to now is huge. He’s a great talent regardless but he’s fantastic now. The team was likable and great. Very exciting episode. As we’ve said each week, we really hope the show can live on in some way.

You can watch the full third episode of ABC’s incredible Million Dollar Mind Game in this post, but first, something very exciting happened yesterday. ABC may have made it hard to find the criminally underrated and attention-deserving Million Dollar Mind Game (Sundays at 4:00PM ET/2:00PM PT), but even if they have a short life they’ve made American game show history. On yesterday, the third episode, a team of video gamers lost the most money ever lost by a group in American game show history.

The team had reached the $600,000 mark, with each of the six players earning $100,000. To quit, the team must unanimously decide. Five of the six said to stop. Only one wanted to play on, but it was enough to force the team to continue. The team had to answer one of two million dollar questions, but failed to do so. The team lost their $600,000 bank and left with nothing. The video gamers were the very first taped team to face the game and the second to air. $600,000 is the most lost at one time by a single group in American game show history. The most lost by a single player comes from Deal or No Deal. One player on NBC’s Deal or No Deal lost a $600,000 bank offer, which then dropped to $400,000, and left with $10,001.

I would like to, again, say how incredibly weird it is for ABC to not air this. I know it’s very brainy and hard which makes it a challenge already, but I’ve not heard from anyone who’s watched it with an open mind who has not enjoyed it. Not to mention the $600,000 gamble was one of the most thrilling game show moments in years. ABC opted to air Skating With the Stars over Million Dollar Mind Game. I severely question their judgement about that. Word of mouth has been getting out a bit due to the incredible critical reception and enjoyment from those who have seen it. Here’s hoping someone else takes a lot at it. It’s too good. Do you know how rare it is to get a game show in this country that’s intelligent, unique, and filled with non-insane contestant who you actually feel something for?

SyFy’s Ghost Hunters, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, returned to Who Wants to be a Millionaire to face host Meredith Vieira for a second Halloween special. For the second straight year the duo won big money for charity. The Ghost Hunters made it to Round 2, Classic Millionaire, yet again and walked away with $57,600 for their charity, the Hasbro Children’s Hospital. They made it to Round 2 with their Ask the Audience Lifeline remaining.

The Ghost Hunters‘s $100,000 question asked, “In order to dig a hole through the center of the Earth and wind up in Beijing, China, you’ll have to start in which of these countries? A: Colombia; B: Argentina; C: Mexico; D: Canada”. Jason and Grant used their Ask the Audience Lifeline, and 36% of the audience said B. Anyone who’s watched Millionaire knows how risky it is to trust the audience in upper tier questions, and they walked away with their bank of $57,600. The correct answer was indeed B. This means that the Hasbro Children’s Hospital has collectively received $118,700 courtesy of the Ghost Hunters.

It's always nice to see a person fortunate to be on a show like Millionaire, where someone can win an ungodly amount of money, give back. That's what Tuesday's and Wednesday's contestants Randy Rice did. Randy, a barista from Farmingdale, NY, came to the show with long, blonde hair. It started as a bet that probably wouldn't happen: Meredith Vieira asked if he won the million if she could cut his hair, which he agreed to. However, it turned to an agreement to cut his hair if he can claim the $25,000 prize in Round One. Randy's foot long ponytail was sent to Locks of Love, which makes wigs for needly children who lost their hair due to medical conditions. Sadly, though, Randy crashed on the eighth question. He lost his bank of $51,500 and left with $1,000. Regardless, it's nice to see him do something for a good cause like this on television. Click here to see a preview of another upcoming Millionaire event.

The Indian version of Millionaire follows a mix of the clock format with other twists. The set resembles the updated British version, but the graphics are more in line with the American edition. The format consists of 13 questions to win the top prize. In a twist there are no set milestones, in which contestants fall back on. Instead, each player can choose the safety level they want to before the game. You can make it as high as you want or as low. Four lifelines are offered: Ask the Audience, Phone A Friend, Ask the Expert, and Double Dip.
